The other thing I have always understood about #38 is that people make excuses for other people that they can relate to. Jeff probably reminds people of their cousin or brother. I am sure he's a great guy but he's an awful football player. I am not interested in the guy next door on my football team. I want catalytic playmakers not choir boys.

Did anyone see our captain #38 on the 90 plus yard touchdown to Robbie Anderson?
This play perfectly summarizes his tenure as our starting strong safety. In key situations our opponents know that they can attack our strong safety at any time. Anybody who continues to defend this scrub is just a joke.

While i agree that Jeff Heath is a mediocre starter at best, you have to understand that all teams have holes in their roster. You can't have All-Pro players at every position. Especially if you have big money contracts like we do on the offensive side of the ball. If you think it's bad now, wait until Dak and Cooper get paid.. we'll have to rely on scrubs on defense.

I get that some don't like #38...but I think that #24, #30, and that entire DT rotation are by far the weakest links in this chain.

Pretty sure that was Awuzie's blown coverage.

I saw Awusie peeping into the backfield despite giving a 10 yard cushion then getting burned because he couldn't turn his hips fast enough to cover. Heath was trying to clean up the mess that Awusie made. The blunder by Awusie caused that play.
Awuzie blunders have been hurting this team for a while now, especially in crucial moments when the defense needs to get off the field.

That's what pisses me off more then anything about Garrett. You can play bad and you still have a job. Sorta like him but coach versus player. Heath and Connor Williams should be benched. Just no urgency at all with this team. Dak needs to cuss out his Oline. Can you imagine what Aikman would of been saying to the Oline playing like this? Dallas has many problems. Another one is they have NO leader. Garrett isn't a leader. Dak really doesn't rally the troops when things are going bad. And the defense is toothless on leadership. Seems like everyone is afraid to step on each others feet. Richard has been the only one I've seen going off on guys. The 90's team didn't even need Jimmy to rep them up. They were on each others butt if you messed up. Just sad to see what has become of one of the greatest franchises in history. The other two? Yankee's are back. Lakers looking good. And the third supposed greatest of the three. The Dallas Cowboys...inept for the last 25 years. WOW! Let that sink in.

I have been critical of him for as long as I can remember. I want him replaced.

But I don't think he's been all that bad. I mean Woods isn't playing much better and neither is as bad as our DT play has been.

Still not understanding why we aren't putting Donovan Wilson in. Was that interception in preseason too much for Richard and Rod to handle? Was he too explosive as a playmaker to be on this strictly "bend but don't break defense"? Is that why Jourdan Lewis doesn't play as well?

Lewis doesn't have long enough arms or some lame *** excuse like that. He's one of the only players on defense who can actually play the ball. Can't have someone like that on the field.

I am shocked at how much this team is held back by bad coaching. It's ridiculous. There is no worse trio of coaches and coordinators in the NFL right now than what is on our very own team (Garrett, Rod, and Richard)

Let's be clear. He's not all that good. But right now, he's hardly the sole problem on this defense. So it's tough for me to single him out as "the" weak link. We have quite a few weak links this year.

Heath has actually been pretty good this season.

That play was ENTIRELY on Awuzie. He slipped when he bit on the route. Heath was trying to cover up for him.
