I don't want Garrett fired, I do however want some mods fired. I'm not donating to CZ ever again as long as my PM is disabled.
Have you been a naughty boy LOL. I understand your frustration but you were pretty rude to me my cowboy brother

This is my only issue with head coaching Dallas Cowboys football. What head coach with any self-respect. Would take over a football team without having total control who would put their reputation on the line like that. I believe other than a new Young startup or somebody coming up in the ranks that's already on our staff. I just don't see it happening. Not while Jerry is in charge
Coaches take jobs every year where they have no control

Jason Garrett wanted to build his team exactly the way Jimmy Johnson did in the pits first. He manipulated Jerry into doing so. William Maclay also played a big part in this. The only issue I have with Jason is as motivational skills

Did he convince Jerry to prioritize the OL? Maybe. But I think Jerry is actually sticking to it more than Garrett, don't forget the tantrum he threw on draft day webcast when he wanted the shiny toy in Eifert instead of Frederick

I actually think it's William a clay that's making most of the decisions now. I think Jason tells him what he wants along with everybody else and we go with most Worthy. Not best available. Most Worthy

Meh..if that was the case we would have Thornhill instead of Marinelli's newest pet cat

With respect, does any of that add or subtract from Jones' narcissism? Because that is the primary motivator behind all his decision-making.

Lets see a narcissistic personality is someone who has an inflated sense of their own importance, and a need for attention and admiration. Well lets see, Jones OWNS the Cowboys so one who guess that he wouldn't need an inflated sense of importance because he IS important as owner of the Cowboys. Yes I admit that he also like the limelight but there are few people that started out poor like him and became a billionaire who hasn't gotten to like getting the attention that comes with that. I seriously doubt that the football decisions he makes for the Cowboys are done just to get attention. What I do say is it doesn't matter what decisions Jones makes or doesn't make the Cowboys are almost in the national news every day and every move the Cowboys make get headlines and therefore Jones gets headlines seeing how he is GM and owner.

You talkin about the Cowboys paying him. It's a dream not going to happen
He makes 6 million now. Same as Garrett without the constant burden of recruiting. Ya why would he not want to be the coach of the cowboys

What i find sad in all of this is some "fans" of the team and I use the word "fans" loosely. They want to see the team do bad just so they can get rid of JG. Thats just mind-blowing to me.

And then left when he realized he couldn't have total control

Yeah not true, he left because he got burnt out again and admitted that he wished he would have stayed for at least one more year. (2007 kick arse year)

Jones was a narcissist many many moons before he purchased the franchise.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a BIT more involved than simply wanting attention.

"Jerruh's egotistical, football stupid and greedy" is the commonly repeated observational perspective of Jerry Jones, essentially portraying him as an exceedingly selfish person. In my opinion, it is a widely held evaluation despite Jones having exhibited chronic behavior that has been more than what can be expected normally from any average conceited, ignorant and materialistic everyday Joe or Jane.
A mutually agreed upon parting between the two men is equivalent to a firing in my opinion. Johnson had a history of being a coaching nomad. He would have possibly left at some point of his own accord. However, it is also extremely likely Johnson would not have left the franchise for another few seasons IF Jones could have controlled his own narcissism and not force the non-issue.
Huh???? Im not even sure how to respond that in bold. And Jimmy has said he was leaving that year right before the draft. They just sped up the process by doing it a couple of weeks after the super bowl. Johnson has repeatedly said he has never coached anywhere for more than 5 years and that was going to be the case again

Just my opinion: Jones 'couldn't take it' anymore. Johnson wanted a way out. Termination was a solution to which both men found acceptable in meeting their separate goals.

Jones likes Moore also. Moore would not have become offensive coordinator without Jones' blessing.

Bingo!!!!!!! This is why I believe if Garrett is fired, the new coach could be someone who's more a motivator ( similar to Jimmy) like Mike Tomlin or a defensive coach alone the line of Jack Del Rio or Grey Williams. Jerry has tried to fix this D since Wade Phillips. I don't see them gambling much with the way this team is currently set up offensively. Bring in a proven guy who can fix this D and leave Moore and his guys in charge of the offense.

Bottom line, I can see Garrett and the entire defense staff fired and Jerry hiring a defensive willing to leave the offensive staff in tac.
