He didnt say anything about Dak sucking?
It implied yo... hes saying with Gallup, Jarwin, Witten, and some fill ins of Smith and weilson with Zeke running and pollard mixed in, Dak still needs an All Pro WR to even have shot at winning.:)

Did GB bring in AB or anyone new without their Stud WR down 2 games? NO hows AR the true elite WR doing with average RB and WRs?

Truly though if the WRs limit drops, and the team stops shouting themselves in the foot with Penalties and Tos, the offense can survive without Amari. even with 200+ from Amari the mistakes cause losses..

Speaking of Einstein...

I had a professionally administered Myers-Briggs Personality Type test that indicated that I have the same personality type as Albert Einstein.

Less than 3% of the population has that personality type.

Dez was terrible in 2017. He is older, has had an Achilles injury and has been out of football for a significant period of time.

He was not the type to stay in great shape in the off-seasons when he was playing. I doubt that has improved being away this long.

Dez was a 1 trick pony. He had success because of athletic ability only.

He never became a student of the game and was one of the least knowledgeable players in Cowboys history.

Jerry bailed him out of multiple situations and then when they Franchised him and he had not gotten the contract he wanted, he instantly started bad mouthing Jerry.

Dez is a human turd.

Nah, those who live in glass houses should not throw stones

Solutions?
What is the status of OT Trent Williams?

He refused to report or play for the Skins.

They're going to get nothing if he just retires.

Both of the Cowboys starting OTs are out.

Trent Williams with a year of sitting on the sofa eating Cheetos with zero work outs would be better tomorrow with no practice than Cam Fleming...

If the Cowboys signed AB (God forbid) he'd immediately be suspended anyway. I'd rather this team lose without him than win with him. He's a turd...
I rather win with him than lose. I don't have sports morality unless its some next level stuff.

You answered your own question. If the coach doenst screw up the GP, the receivers dont drop passes, or the refs dont blow some calls, then we win that game. If even one of those things happen. And thats not even mentioning the defense.

I have no issues with Dak not doing his job, but last game wasnt one of them.

GB got handed the game by the refs if you watched it. AR has some talent on there. The QB is scrambling and throwing, and they have David Johnson at RB. Nothing average about that guy.

If this team hadn't already won 5 SBs, l might have that same thinking. But l'm not ready to sell my soul (like a Philly fan) to see another one. Let's just agree to disagree on AB...

I'm wondering why would we expect K Moore/JG offense to out-scheme G Williams of the Jets? When you combine inexperience with conservative/bone-head against aggressive tendencies....it's no match. BTW....expect Philly to be aggressive.
When you're consistently getting beat at the LOS, schemes mean little.

https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news...lp-and-should-sign-troubled-wr-antonio-brown/

https://omny.fm/shows/shan-and-rj/michael-irvin-1

The link and audio is above. This was a really good interview - and forget the part about him calling for Jerry Jones to sign Antonio Brown. The summary:

- We are hurting right now, yeah every team has injuries, but we are hurting in the worst possible places
- Amari Cooper killed the Eagles last year and he likely won't be on the field
- With both tackles out, the Jets had a genius game plan. They played a "bear" 5-man front and isolated the linemen so that it wasn't possible to chip or give them help. And the tackles failed miserably.
- If Collins and Smith are out again, expect the same game plan against us
- And yeah, he said screw the public relations, if Amari can't play for a couple of weeks bring in Antonio Brown, because two more losses and this season might just be lost.

Between Irvin and Deion and their ' bring in buddy-system' mentality.
Who would want that on going chaos on their team with Antonio Brown ? - even the Pats finally said the hell with this. (after just one week)
Its not warranted ...not worth that kind of utter despair panic. At the least, you sit out Cooper and let him heal properly, so we can have him more long term and get him back quicker.

- at least we don't have season ending to the more prominent star players - cooper, smith, Collins, cobb, LVE, Quinn, Dlaw - that are not out for the year.
Their returns could right around the corner at one point or another.
But I really think the biggest problems is the lack of depth and questionable coaching is being exposed. that's the problem.

- Cowboys thought the world of Cam Fleming as a backup because he started at NE in Super bowl, he's been dreadful. Knight is rookie and more OG than OT.
we have under-utilized our RBs and we lack explosive splash plays in what we are getting.

- and much talked about cedric wilson and tavon austin, but they are not enough difference makers Wilson has no speed for outside, and coaches have totally lost confidence in Devin Smith
since the Saints game.
Austin has flaws in receiving game and not the strength, length and consistency you want for the outside and its’s always hit away from being out the game.

- I am disappointed with interior – something is just not right with Fredrick and I heard he even sat out a practice, is there still issues with his syndrome. Is it a case where he’s just not fully recovered
..or is the syndrome gradually reoccurring again ? Still think Martin is struggling with his back disc injury.
And Williams is just not developing into a promising, stand out OG.

- Vastly disappointed in the coaching staff. The Kellen Moore has been overrated. Lack of creativity, designs, RB usage, notorious slow starts, the injuries at outside WRs didn’t help.

- Defense really falling apart from DL ..to LBs..to secondary. DLaw is underachieving, Quinn only bright spot, Maliek exposed for what he is.(usually is) Woods is serviceable
And Hyder is a non factor and they don’t really believe in Trysten Hill this year, may play per injury situation.

- Awuzie and Brown have been disappointing. Such as teams can go after them without having to challenge Byron. You can get more plays on Chidou and Brown.
Jordan may have his own issues in coverage, but he is clearly the DB that can give us the INTs. Lewis vs Brown.
Xavier is not showing up with big plays. Is high ankle still affecting him ?

- I really do want to change the DL coach and change how we play upfront, we’ve tried this Marinelli way and it hasn’t worked out.
I really want to do away with the Marinelli scheme and player personnel preference.
Do away with these slant- run defense, (people keep saying its undersized but that's not really the issues) and have the proper guys upfront to better cover for the LBs,
When I hear the Saints going multiple games without allowing a 100 yd runner, that’s impressive. And the times I’ve seen their D, teams don’t produce much and have career games on them.
But this team loves Marinelli...and it’s gonna be years on of suffering with this I fear

I had posted in another thread I would love to see how much play-action passing they did the last 3 weeks vs the first 3.

No surprise that the number dropped in a big way.

What is most annoying is you would think with both starting tackles out, they would rely on it more not less. You know, provide some of that help Michael Irvin was talking about.

Just one more reason JG needs to go, this stuff happens every year.

PA is not effective when you're down 31-3 or 21-3 hence the Egg-laying..... and by the way why doesn't Dak throw under center and needs the Shot-gun?

They haven't won a Super Bowl since before home computers were a mainstream thing. Yeah that logic isn't working for me. I'm not selling my soul by signing him. Like I said I don't have sports morality. Hell most people didn't until recently when it became a thing folks can flaunt like a rolls royce. Agree to disagree was already implied to be honest by us not agreeing in the first place.

More SUPPORT for Dak?
LOL....ya ok let's give this nut job millions to join a team who has a QB with more flaws than a used car ...ya I can see Jerry doing this!!!!

Well, Irvin's actually played the game before and might know a thing or a million more than you would as to how this whole ball game really works. Ya think?

Does anyone ever wonder why we can’t come up with crazy awesome game plans on defense , or take advantage of other teams weaknesses, or scheme like Greg Williams did last week? It seems like we are never on that side.

I have wondered this for years, and feel this is the biggest shortcoming of Cowboys "coaching" on both sides of the ball - we game plan/scheme poorly - and I find it stubborn and arrogant that the coaching staff feels that they don't generally need to adjust game to game....... We RARELY take advantage of other teams injuries or general shortcomings, and are also poor planners in reducing our own weaknesses or injury situations.....generally we just go back to vanilla, and simple, and keep same philosophies, no matter what, thinking we will still win - and are just that much more predictable. I have now read 3 times that other teams have come forward ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL, saying they knew what the Cowboys scheme/plays would be.....that is unheard of for me in professional sports - WOW. Almost impossible to win in those situations, no matter how "talented" in a game that most often comes down to inches, milliseconds, and the outcome of 2-3 plays per game. An advantage like that in the scheme/coaching/planning side of things makes all the difference. All 3 of our last games/losses came down to 1-3 plays that meant the difference between a loss and a win. COACHING/Scheme/playcalling MATTER. Yes execution counts, of course. But putting your team in position to succeed is the difference much of the time.

To answer your question - when was the last time we made it hard for a rusty or a rookie QB on an other team. When was the last time we got 6-8 sacks against a decimated oline on another team. When was the last time we PICKED on one CB over and over and over because of a mismatch or injury. These things dont' stand out to me on this team, yet we have had many opportunities. We seemed to play a huge cushion defense against a rusty/ill Donald - giving him momentum and confidence. I often shake my head. We play scared/not to lose - and it keeps coming back.

I think the stubborness with this "Gap" scheme on Defense is KILLING us right now. Our young stud LBers are suffering because of it, and so is the pass rush - teams adjust against us and we keep banging our heads against the wall, doing same thing over and over - no creative blitzes - and since the Indi game last year, and then Rams playoff games, talent has meant little for our D, we can't stop teams at key times.......Our DT's have not been able to clog anything and our LBers and safeties look out of position or are being blocked by oline (MISMATCH) often.....

When you're consistently getting beat at the LOS, schemes mean little.
Have you seen some of the questionable plays called? Notably the 4th down and 2, and the 2pt conversion revealed a lot about that, the passing routes, who's in the passing routes, the predictability, the 5-7 drops when pass protection & run blocking are a problem to name a few. And I realize execution plays into it to.

Now we all know Philly will blitz quite a bit......are we going with the same that we saw last week?....Are we operating off a 3 page playbook?

Dallas is always hurt. Jerry need to spend more money on trainers and quit training on the beach in California. That was the first thing Jimmy cut out when hired. No more training in California. They need help all right but it starts with the GM and coach first.

I hear you for the most part. I do. I’m not the type to want nothing but Boy Scouts on the team. Football is a violent game after all.

But the sexual harassment accusation worries me. If that turns out to be true, that crosses the line for me.

Michael has been known for talking without thinking. The nfl office has informed the teams that brown would be on suspension if signed. (Not sure if suspension is the right term).
