I dont think he is going anywhere. He is still a teacher at OSU and i know he is treated as a God.

He probably wont leave until he sees thag the HC for OSU has a stable position.

My worries would be can an ego the size of Jerry’s ever co exist with an ego the size of Urban’s?

and how long would it be until shady Urban claims he has a health problem and abandons ship, especially if he has a mediocre or losing season?

What made Jimmy successful was the fact he and his staff recruited and played against many of the players coming out of college the first three or four years. I don't believe a salary cap makers a great coach suddenly stupid.

I also think Jerry would see a coach like Meyer as an asset to be utilized for inside info on players, and a strong head coach.

Perhaps this might be a coach that stands toe to toe with Jerry and Stephen.

The guy knows how to win. And win it all.

Garrett could swap with Belichick and figure a way to clap himself out of the first round of the play-offs. Brady's wife would gut punch him after a loss they should have won.

This move could be significant.

I’d take Meyer as the HC in Dallas in a heartbeat. A heartbeat.

He is made to be a HC and run the show. Good Lord he’d be so good in Dallas.

You know Elliott would endorse him wholeheartedly. Zeke went to OSU 100% because of Meyer. If Jerry asks his opinion, we know what he’ll say.

Meyer would get our fat RB back in shape:laugh:

Caroll's first stint wasn't exactly successful though.

He also took a few years in SEA to succeed. Not sure this fanbase would want to go through those kind of hard times.

Garrett has 2 Wildcard wins after a decade on the job.............I dont think Urban Meyer could be much worse.

What made Jimmy successful was all of Jerrys money and no cap. The Dolphins are still asking for their deposit back

He's the head coach of a major college football program and already making millions . He's a major factor in competing for national championships every year. There is no way I would leave Ohio State to come here.

Same goes with Lincoln Riley

But I would choose Riley over Urban Meyer just to get him away from Oklahoma so my Longhorns don't face him every year .

Meyer resigned from being the head football coach at Ohio State, even though he is still employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Athletic department. He had to resign because one of his assistant coaches was slapping his wife around and apparently Meyer found out about it and didnt immediately report it to the University. Both Meyer and the AD were suspended for 3 games, but Meyer decided to step down after the season regardless.

So he is not coaching right now and that Admin job they gave him was just a thank you job. You know those, generic job title, no real responsibilities, and draw a big salary from the University. So he would be willing to walk away from that to coach the Cowboys.

Everyone else sees the potential of this roster. Like I said before, any decent to above average HC would take this roster on a deep playoff run. JG and Rod’s philosophies just don’t cut it in today’s football.

Garrett coaching this roster is like buying a Lambo and having your 8 year old daughter trying to drive it!

And then you wonder why you keep ending up in the ditch:laugh:

UM would not get pushed around by Jerry which is an appealing trait.

I do think Kellen Moore would be much better if given full control over the offense (No Garrett involvement).

I have some concern with Lincoln Riley getting overwhelmed by Jerry and the media crush of being the Cowboys HC.

Having said that, I would prefer Riley or somebody with some innovation in terms of X & O issues.

I have liked Riley for a long time but if he comes in, IMO, that spells the demise of Moore as the OC...I liked what he did on offense thru 3 games (if you are good, then you are supposed to win big)...then it seemed the doofus carrot got jealous and took over the first half play calling again, putting the team in large holes and then they make meager comebacks that were not enough in the 2nd half.....that is ALL on Garrett....but my point is that I wonder if Moore could be very good as OC and Riley would remove him from the mix

Do you look at Bellichek and think, “man, this guy must play fair”?

Yeah, I'll take a little bit of Belicheat or Pete Carroll if it means we win something for once.

Garrett's out there playing go fish while everyone else is playing poker

College style freshness and excitement is just what the franchise needs to get back to fun.

This is an underrated aspect of the fan's hate for Garrett: He's boring.

Under Garrett, it's not enjoyable to watch our team play. They're boring. Conservative. This is a sport and is supposed to be fun to watch.

Personally, I'd be super excited to have Urban Meyer replace Garrett. I've been a fan of Meyer's since he was coaching Utah. In my opinion, he'd be a HUGE upgrade to this organization. Plus, I think this interview shows, he'd take the job.

Would have to happen soon. The window of talent on this team will be closing soon. I'd love to see what he could do in a couple years. I bet he could giterdun.
