The dozens of, not so made up, topics are all about your boy Garrett!

Many if them are. That’s nothing new, though. People get mopey. If we win, they’ll be talking playoff bye weeks and Superbowl again over the bye week. It’s ridiculous.

What’s going on the last three weeks isn’t the same thing that’s kept us from advancing farther in the playoffs in recent seasons, Beast. We haven’t generally been underperforming relative to our talent level.

I agree that we have been during this skid. Mostly it’s been turnovers on offense. The defensive performance it the one I’m most confused by. Too many good players, a lot of carryover from last season. They ought to be keeping us in these games, but they aren’t.

Yeah, part of that is coaching, on both sides of the ball. Garrett has to own it, because I agree that the personnel on this team is too good. I also do think they’ll eventually sort it out. But we just have to wait and see.

Hey Idgit, always good to chat with you my friend.

Like you, I am most concerned about the defense. We have too many good players to be this bad on defense. I mean, we score 32 points against the Pack and lose. How many teams in the NFL score over 30 points and lose the game? Last week against the Jets we scored 22 if I remember correctly. 22 points should have been good enough to beat an 0-4 team, I'm sorry, its just is.

So while the offense has not been as dynamic as the first couple of games, they are still moving the ball and scoring points. The problem is that our defense is so bad that we end up in shootouts trying to come back and this team is not built like that. This team is built around the running game and playing with a lead where they can not only bleed the clock but wear down their opponents towards the end of the game. This team is not a shotgun, 5 wr, spread offense that throws the ball all over the field and scores quickly. Dallas cant win shootouts and that is what we have been getting into when we are trailing at halftime 21-3 or 21-6 or 31-3, ect….

All I know is that Garrett better have a talk with old man Marinelli and RIchards and find out what the hell is wrong, because unless this defense gets fixed and fixed quick, we are not making the playoff with our schedule. 8 of last 10 are against teams .500 or better, hardest remaining schedule in the NFL.

I really dont think this team is going to be an 8-8 type of team, I think they are either going to rally and win 10+ games or they are going to completely meltdown and end up 6-10. Anyways, we will just have to wait and see.

This Cowboys team reminds me a lot of the current Browns team. Good players on both sides of the ball but they're playing careless with the football. It's as if they're not practicing all week. Their defense is disrupting nothing and making every QB look good. So I think you're right about how the season plays out. Because the Cowboys have the talent, but they are in meltdown mode right now.

Unfortunately elite coaching is simply not an asset Jerry is going to allow or attract.

Cowboy fans need to focus on Plan B.

We are a talent dependent franchise. And while our coaching isn’t elite it’s not considered bottom feeder either.

We’ve had several illustrations with this current roster in recent years where when we don’t have as much talent on the field the results are impacted.

We’ve been in meltdown mode before. Like beginning 3-5 last year. Going 0-3 without Elliott.

As much criticism as Garrett takes we have a history with him fighting back and staying competitive until the final week.

We are undergoing a rash of key injuries which are impacting our offense. The sooner this talent returns the sooner the impact will be felt.

Why is it when someone posts something here that is counter to what another thinks, they have to accuse them of trolling? Cannot you argue the points without getting into this childish name calling or is that because you are not comfortable debating the points?

This web site has the ones that have already given up on one side, the ones that refuse to give up on the other and in the middle are the rest of us waiting to see what's going to happen and how this team is going to respond.

Both of these teams are struggling but they are .500 and their seasons are far from over.
Coaching is the reason why we have no hope. They on the other hand is the same reason why they'll pull out of their nosedive.

I wouldn’t say “ no hope “ but rather less hope.

We are a talent dependent franchise. Any weaknesses can be exploited by greater talent and coaching in those areas.

Good analogy...……….I do see a lot of similarities between us and the Browns and that is never good:laugh:

I dont see the Jets as a more talented team, but yet we still lost. The talent on this team is greater than the record indicates, that's the problem.

And as far as injuries go, everybody has them but still finds ways to win games. The Steelers just beat the Chargers with their 3rd string QB, they didnt declare themselves a talent dependent franchise and pack it in for the year. You think Dallas wins a single game the rest of the year if Dak goes down?

The Jets aren’t a more talented team. They exposed the Cowboys weaknesses. On Any Given Sunday still applies. Upsets do happen.

The Cowboys being more talent dependent with less than great coaching aren’t going to have as much success without all of their talent. And no, I wouldn’t expect Us to win any games if Dak went down. It would be similar to when Romo went down unless we had a talented backup like Dak.

This is all attributed to an owner/ GM who doesn’t place coaching as a higher priority.

Yes, every fan has a right to complain, whine, attack players and coaches, and express his or her displeasure, but I find it sad when I have to go to the news zone to read anything about the Eagles game.
It’s one thing to be unhappy for a couple of days after a loss, but as the weekend approaches, the Fan Zone is nothing more than the Drama Zone.

I’ll express my gratitude now for the genius posts that remind me I don’t have to visit Cowboys zone. Thank You!

It’s just sad that a couple days before the Eagles come to town, all the threads are about everything but the game. I’ve seen 5-11 seasons when fans still cared about the upcoming game.

Charles, you might have missed the last 24 years but we've been one of the least successful teams in the last two and a half decades. With the same front office. The same leadership.

To at least some fans that is unacceptable for the Dallas Cowboys. To be optimistic would be delusional.

So please, spare me your lecture on how to be a good fan.
