This, and the imaginary MVP award get thrown around a lot in this debate. I don’t believe either are true.

I do still think a majority of NFL GMs would give Wentz the nod. But actual performance, injury history, and the questions about Wentz’ leadership have eaten into that lead of the last couple of seasons.

I love when people think they know what 32 nfl front offices think.

I also love when people try to hand out MVP trophies to injured guys, whose team didn’t skip a beat without them.

I also love when people call somebody a Super Bowl champ despite the player never taking a single snap in an NFL playoff game.

I especially love when sacks because a stat against the QB when it comes to Dak, but stays a stat against the offensive line for other QB’s.

He wasn't thrown into a lions den, he came into a very good situation. If anything, Wentz had it worse initially.

And if Wentz was taken in the 4th round, he'd be exceeding expectations. But it doesn't matter now, they are both in their 4th year. Draft status means diddly crap.
The fact that it’s even a debate shows how thoroughly Dak has outplayed Wentz.

Better record, better stats, better leader, more clutch, more durable. None of those are even debatable.

Let’s pretend to reverse their draft status and keep everything else equal - Dak’s the #2 overall pick and Wentz is the 4th rounder - there wouldn’t even be a debate. Dak in a landslide.

Draft status SHOULDN’T matter... but it’s the only reason Wentz is still ranked ahead of Dak by some. People will get over that soon enough. “Potential” only lasts so long.

If Dallas wins tonight the city of philadelphia may have had enough of Carson Wentz. They are going to be calling for Ty Detmer to come back.

Watson 12tds and only 3 ints. Dak has 11tds and 6 ints. Yea, I would say he is
This is actually a dumb way to judge QBs because it has zero context behind it...how many of those INTS for each QB was an okay throw that went right off the hands of the receiver into the DBs hands? How many of those TDs were in garbage time? Etc etc etc...I've just never been a huge fan of judging QBs this way.

There isn't a GM in the league that wouldn't take Wentz over Dak. Including Will McClay.
lol

I think this was true maybe 2 years ago because GM's are stupid.

But if you polled right now...that would be dramatically different. Wentz is fragile and can't elevate the players around him and is a poor leader.

Dak is none of those things.

Not my post, but I could think of about 8. With Rivers, Stafford being negotiable.

1 - Brady
2 - Mahomes
3 - Rodgers
4 - Rivers (Wilson)
5 - Wilson
6 - Stafford ...lost all credibility
7 - Watson ..... lost even more credibility.

8 - Brees (Ahead of Mahomes)

Dak isn’t a top tier guy. There is only three of those. But the kid is a damn good player

There's not a single GM in the league other than our idiot that would take Prescott over Wentz. Not a one.

Wentz trumps Dak in talent.
Dak trumps Wentz in availability and durability.

Availability is one of the most important traits a player can have. I imagine its a few but I am sure there are some who would take Dak.

If wentz loses tonight his world might start to crumble in Philly.

You're pretty gutsy talking to the Butcher like that with 43 trophy points.

That's a joke! Favoritism to the core. They have Wince at #5? Pathetic, especially after what stats they wrote about Wince. Yet, you agreed with their assessment? SMH

You think that fans of those other guys that the NFL ranked ahead of Dak think their guy is better? It's a bit subjective, but then I'm not going to argue -- brag -- with other people about my quarterback being better, when so far this season he hasn't proven that he can work some magic and help carry the team to victory when he needs to. To me Wentz and Dak aren't too far apart. Heck, I'll give Dak the edge, since Wentz is fragile. But I also don't think 11th best quarterback is too far off either when you're .500. And no its not the rest of the team letting Dak down either; he been just as bad as anyone else on the team in this losing streak. Like Jimmy used to say: if you talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk. Being .500 ya not walking the walk, so no bragging rights yet.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure Wentz wasn't on the board when Dallas drafted Dak. You've spent 4 years belaboring a point that doesn't even exist.

What were you saying about Dak? How do you like him tonight? Right now?
