Meanwhile A @Xelda Sighting :lmao2:
Never seen two people get more use out of stairs, frontwards, backwards and reclining.

The man was so thoughtful. Didn't want her to spill her drink on herself as he'd done, so he took it from her to head upstairs.

Man, I wish I could hear the audio in that video. "Edna, you drunk"? "No Earl, I'm just tired".

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Sometimes I sits and thinks, and other times I just sits. The latter is the case today. I've got nothing. Bless you all.
Sometimes, I stand for 30 minutes, thinking about sitting. Then I forget and later on when I find myself sitting, I think 'oh, yeah. I meant to do this. Got to stop this procrastinating'.

Good morning Pops and fellow people skipping Sunday School. If they wanted me to go, they should have left that "School" part out.

Well, that wasn't a bad sports Saturday at all. Michigan and Tennessee made their games interesting and the Stros did it up big timer with a walk off 2 run homer by Altuve. In the world of big people, it's great to see a 5'6" 160lb guy stand so large. Jan, I agree, I don't like family drama, gimme drama like that the end of that game.

I needed that as my Hogs, heretofore referred to as someone else's Hogs, gave up 51 to Auburn at home. Good think they were home and fans didn't have to travel to see that. If you get the chance, watch the play the AR punter tries to make. I've never seen a play like that before, I suspect Garrett had a hand in it.

Enjoy the game tonight and enjoy your evening, the two are not synonymous. You might want to choose.

Morning Pops and friends. I've got lots of things to do today that I didn't do yesterday. They were in the plan, but I managed to push them off my plate. Maybe I'll do them tomorrow. I don't think I did too much yesterday, but woke up sore so I did something. I just don't remember what it was. I made a cake yesterday for the first time in maybe 10 years or more. I'd gotten a sifter attachment for my electric stirring thing* and the cake came out very fluffy, so I guess it was a success. I also made taco soup for the freezer, so it was a productive day and nothing was burned.

Jan, there are people that don't know how to function without causing drama. They're addicted to it. I hate that it caused so much trouble for you on your week off. Congratulations on acquiring a Cowboys fan into the family through the proposal. If the proposal was stressful, you might want to take a trip out of the country up until the day of the wedding. Just saying... as they say.

Today is clean the bedding day, so I'd better get started on the drying process since my dryer is shiftless and lazy. I miss my Maytag. I had it for almost 28 years.

Have a good Sunday and may the Cowboys remember who they are.:star:

*Sometimes my brain refuses to cooperate.

Evening Pops and everyone.

Saturday evening... still in Virginia visiting my daughter and the grands. Went to Fredericksburg today and met Dustin's mom. Hung out at the pumpkin patch...where it was pre-planned... Dustin proposed!!! I've known for about 2 months this was going to happen. Went off as we hoped and thankfully she said yes! We head back to Virginia Beach tomorrow.

The rest of the trip has been filed with anxious moments and lots of tension. In fact, I was ready to go home a few days after I got here.

Heading back to Iowa early Monday evening and should be back at my own place by 10pm. Don't know when I'll get back here again. I've had my fill for a bit.

For now, been a long day and I'm pooped. Time to relax a bit.

Hope everyone has a good evening and enjoy your Sunday.
Well next time make it Fredericksburg TX, and we'll throw you a big ol' BBQ!!!!!!!! We'll just make a rule, Drama Queens go swimmin' in the lake!!!!

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Happy Victory Monday. Good game last night; congrats to the Cowboys. Looks like someone gave Kellen Moore a green light again. Xelda, my wife would travel all the way to your house for taco soup. She loves it. Y'all have a wonderful day.

Happiest Monday in a month Pops and friends!
th

th
Double joy on beating the Beagles. Either Michael Irvin is doing the wolf howl or got something in his teeth.

The game wasn't pure joy though. They kept cutting into the game to talk about tornadoes. I was like Rain Man not getting to watch the People's Court. Fortunately, the tornadoes got dangerously close to the TV station and he stopped popping in at critical times to update me. Stay in your hiding place and don't come out until after the game!

Leon, here's the recipe. It's super easy even though I veered off a long time ago and add extra stuff.

Taco Soup
2 pounds hamburger meat
1 onion (chopped)
1 pkg Ranch Original Dressing mix
1 pkg Dry Taco Mix
1 can Rotel (possibly 2 or 3)
2 cans Plain Pinto Beans (with jalapeno if you are so inclined)
1 can White Corn (yellow didn't kill it)
2 large cans Chopped Tomatoes (I use one large can of chopped with a few small cans of different textures of tomatoes.)

Cook hamburger meat with chopped onions until hamburger is brown. Add all ingredients with their juices and cook for about 30 minutes. (It freezes beautifully and is much cheaper than driving to NW LA.)

I'm no chef, but I assume you drain the grease after Browning the ground beef....or is that one of the "juices"?

I use low fat hamburger meat and only add one pound, so I don't have much grease. Others that cook it consider the grease extra flavoring. They also eat mud bugs, so take that with a grain of salt. I'd definitely drain it off.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. The spot on my skin that was removed 10 days ago turned out to be melanoma in situ or 0 stage melanoma. If left untreated it could have metastasized which would lead to bad things. I'm glad we caught it when we did. I will go to a mohs doctor to have a wide area excision done which will ensure all of it is gone. I forgot all about Monday Night Football last night which is probably a good thing judging by the score. Xelda, thanks for the recipe! See Ya'

Good morning Pops and friends. Whoa Leon! Good thing you caught it in time.
The Mrs and I are going to visit a nearby state park (Brazos Bend) and walk around. The weather should be nice today. We’ll have to watch out for gators, they get pretty big there. Have a good day everyone.
