I think they agreed on the money. It’s the length. JJ wants 7 years and Dak don’t.
If I'm Dak, I don't take 7 years either. No way. Cap is going to skyrocket after the new CBA.

It's a big enough sticking point that it might be a long time before a contact is signed.

it’s not really.

lose this game, go into the bye with a 4 game losing streak staring at the Lions, Vikings and Altria

You seriously don’t watch a lot of other football.

No QB makes perfect throws “all the time”.

That’s why we collect data to compare these guys over the course of a season. Every QB has bad games and even MVP QBs make aren’t perfect every throw or even 20% of their throws.

By every piece of data you can find to compare QBs over the course or 7 games, Dak has been comparable with anyone in the league. By every piece of data you can find, Dak has been as good or better over the course of 3 years and 6 games than nearly any QB in history. Those are facts and not even debatable.
Nope it isn't because the Eagles have the same schedule basically and nobody thinks they are any world beaters.

my contention has been that the draft a is a crap shoot, there is no guarantee we will get a player who can match Daks play even if we pick him in RD,Dak should have been paid before the season started.

Yeah, but unfortunately, there seems to be no shortage of "Pay The Man" fans...........
I’ve been a critic of Dak but it’s becoming clearer to me he’s enough with the supporting cast in tact.

It’s time to pay him. It’s only going to cost us more the longer we wait.

pay him big time. I want to see the team play like the previous 3 games" without talent." Pressure kills dak, he had 2 hurries and maybe 3 pressures last night.

"we have no talent" lmao. what a lame excuse. he was pressured and panic

Paying Dak is better for the team. That INT IMO was a prove it throw. Why do you throw that pass in double coverage to very short Tavon? Gallup and Cooper I would have understood since they have the size to compete for the ball. These are passes that Dak never would have made a season ago. Get that man paid so he can get those "I need to prove it" demons out of his head.
Or maybe he gets the "Good, I can relax now." thoughts in his head. Just kidding, but the first slump he hits, the usuals will be shouting "contract year".

Dak has made great strides with his throwing motion. His deep balls look much more crisp and he's not floating them as much. Even his INT in the end zone yesterday had better ball flight. His accuracy has improved and he's anticpating more than he has in prior seasons. He will never have the biggest arm, but man he's earned the right to be the Cowboys QB and be extended. Just not for the same money as Wilson. I still maintain win a super bowl and ask for the most.

Dak clearly showed he deserves Russell Wilson money! Please lock him up now Jerrah, the longer you wait the more the price goes up.
We need to sign Dak or Cooper before free agency hits. Franchise tag the other if not signed.

Closeted Giants homer setting the bait in a troll thread. He’s just pissed that his team got embarrassed yet again.

It was a "decent" game. He had much more than one bad throw. He had a very stupid throw that you call "bad" and he still has trouble hitting receivers in stride consistently.
It's funny how when he piles up yards on a mediocre team some will point at that and say it's proof that he is a franchise caliber QB, but when he is shut down it's because of horrible play calling or it's JG or the defense is to blame or the o-line sucks now or a myriad of other reasons.
Yes, he mad some VERY good decisions in last nights game, he also made a couple of really good throws, but this is the NFL and if you want to win consistently against the top tier teams you have to be able to make those throws all the time and #4 still has not proven to me that he can.
The franchise is going to give him big money, no doubt about that, but when this team looses a very important game (and they will) it will be because #4 couldn't make a very important pass in a very important moment.

#4 is a big game player....he shows up when it matters.

Even I can concede this was one of his better games.. but please.. wilson money?? OMG no..

It's going to be about the guaranteed $$, I think. Wilson signed for what...$140MM over 4 years?

Dak is definitely going to get north of $30MM.
