honestly i just think its about forming an opinion and having said player prove you wrong and sticking with your opinion hoping that things happen so you can be validated. I cant wait till dak is signed and we can hold the door for the fake fans or welcome them aboard. Makes no difference to me

I really wish we would have been able to sign him before the Goff and Wentz extensions this offseason. Being able to spread his CAP hits over an extra season is HUGEEEE and we missed out.

To say dak hasn't improved is a little crazy IMO.

This year alone he seems to be getting rid of the ball quicker, with more zip, and with more accuracy. Sure he has the occasional bad throw or two, but every qb does.

He also has way more command of this offense. That audible in the eagles game was proof of concept. Thats not something he would have done in the past.

Has Dak been perfect, no. However even in our losses this year dak was moving the ball, it isn't his fault receivers drop balls for ints (packers), not his fault for the penalties or mid field turnovers (saints game), and definitely not his fault for the poor defense at times.

I agree he cannot win you a game by himself at this point. However find me the quaretbacks that can. There really aren't many in this league.

Cracks me up. Dak could lead the league in passing and rushing touchdowns, and some on here would never acknowledge that he's a top QB. Statistically, he's a stud, yet some will just NEVER concede.

It's a mystery.
It's not really a mystery.

There are many on this board who will never, ever, ever forget how Tony Romo left the team and retired.

These posters will take it to their graves and they will never forgive Dak. In their eyes, he's responsible. It's his fault.

They are bitter, bitter people.

No I don’t see improvement outside of Cooper who is better for him than Dez. The talent improved I don’t think he improved and if y’all want to be lazy and say I’m a hater because of it ok. He didn’t really shed the 200 yard label until Cooper came. Hell most of his improvement is since Cooper came. That’s why I say it’s moreso Cooper than him. He needs top shelf talent to be good and nothing is wrong with that. I just don’t think that makes him awesome. I feel he is who he was when we were 3-5 without a top shelf wr so I’m glad we got Cooper to make him look better. He still inaccurate as ever so I don’t think that’s fixed but like I said when you have a better player they can cover up your mistakes more often.

That’s not to say he’s never good. I give him credit when he plays good just like I criticize him when he doesn’t. Some just want a big echo chamber where we all
have to agree or else someone is stupid or blah blah blah. Sometimes we just don’t agree and that’s okay too.

Yeah we can agree to disagree. I see a different player than what we had in 2017, although I will acknowledge better WRS help tremendously.

Dak slobbering, yet you have a picture of Dak as your avatar pic? lol

I'm a Dak supporter. He's the QB of my team and I want to see him do well. But I also see his flaws. I know you and others may not like dissenting opinions but I'm glad you looked at my avatar instead of responding to the the post.

I totally believe Dak Prescott has hit a new level. I always believed he had the talent to tools to make it in the NFL. When you're from a top-10 program. Coming out of college. Sure you have talent you have tools. But what they teach you is the Polish and The Grooming. I believe that's what Prescott was lacking. Now that he has the proper teachers , tutoring, coaching. I believe he can become an elite quarterback. If he had received this tutoring in school I think he would have been a top 5 draft pick. Go Cowboys go Prescott.

I presume you also believed this after the Rams and Saints and Jets games?

Ya me too. I would have actually rather done him and coop before Zeke but it is what is. Zeke kind of forced Jerry's hand

……..or there are some people that harbor no grudge and use facts to support their critique;

Critical thinking requires that we factor in that the 4 wins were against Defenses ranked 31,29, 27 and 24th

When we faced defenses ranked 6th, 13th and 15th in points allowed, we got served.

That Overrating of Rayne Dakota is just more Fools Gold if you don't factor in the Trash we won against.

Sorry, but no agenda here just being a REALIST as the Never-Romo crowd used to call themselves

I like the progress I am seeing from Dak. He has made some mistakes but then who doesn't? He has some ints that are on him but few that are not of his doing. At times he will overly aggressive when he shouldn't like the long pass to Austin in double coverage but I like that more than being afraid to attack. I think the myth of all he does is dink and dunk is being put to rest this season as his avg per completion is 8.9 is 3rd in the NFL as well as yards per game in which he ranks 3rd.
phil rivers has made a career out of mistakes. Whats he won? See what I mean. It backs up your point also. He gets a free pass. But if Dak makes an errant throw, its "Dak has regressed." Its truly a double standard and not fair.

Jason Garrett has built a coaching career beating bad teams and losing to good ones. It's in his DNA. That't why he will never win anything. Ever.

It was this way when Romo was the QB. Right up to his last game in Green Bay.

Your hatred for Dak has blinded you from where the real fault lays. Jerry too BTW is the ultimate culprit

Disagree with the Hatred characterization. Not sure why that would be in your thoughts or heart. Sad

We already agreed to disagree when you posted he improved. Good for you seeing a different player but I think most of y’all want to see a different player that isn’t. Cooper makes him look better that’s all and if Cooper gets hurt for any real time pretty sure I’ll be proven right

It's a strong word, I confess.

But when virtually every single post is basically the same theme, it fits.

Not singling you out specifically. There are others as well.

I'd rattle off Carson Wentz's bad games but I don't have that much time. There's only 24 hours in a day.

just because Wentz is not great, it does not mean Dak is
Certain it worth 30+ mill/year
He needs a lot of supporting pieces to be good
He cannot stem the tide on a bad day and be the difference maker
He is not an elite QB

By that definition there is only one elite QB in the league ........ Tom Brady

Troy never won anything without Emmitt and Irvin.

So I am fine with a really good QB with weapons

Read it again. I didn't say he was that's the point of my discussion if you was from a top 10 School. He could have been a top 5 draft pick in my opinion. That's what he was lacking the polishing the grooming that he is receiving now did you not comprehend what I posted my cowboy brother .
I'll be honest with you, I read it the same way he did, but after seeing your response I realize what you were saying is that the guys from top 10 schools have advantages Dak didn't have.

Regarding Dak being polished and groomed...is he running the Kentucky Derby?
