It's been 3 and a half years. And Dak has clearly outplayed Wentz. All the statistical analysis prove it.

At some point you are what you are. And I was a huge Wentz guy at draft time. I really wanted him and hated the Dak pick.

I've been able to move on. Many people haven't.

The biggest, most hardcore Wentz fans are on this site for some reason. Even more than the vast majority of Philly fans. I'll never understand it.

You should apply for a sports gig with the NY media........you both know how to spin Wentz into something he proves every week that he's not.......makes for entertaining reading though.

Now, you Wentz dreamers carry on
I'm no Wentz fan I just find it completely obnoxious when homers try and make Dak out to be a top 10 QB.

Who named these so called experts, experts?! They've been wrong countless times. They're the weathermen of the NFL. :lmao:

I forget which won is / was playing with the superbowl winning cast?
I thought the Egirls top 5 defense is what carried them to a Super Bowl. Foles played well and of course was MVP but I didn’t see his supporting cast on offense as more talented that Daks supporting cast on offense.

According to the experts the Eagles are the most talented and deepest team in the NFL.....those same experts keep using injuries as an excuse for why they do not look like a SB team. But if they are the deepest team in the NFL????

In view of the likelihood that Dak's next contract will likely depend upon how he and his team fares in this season 2nd half, I think he would have been wise to take the $30 mil that he was offered previously and never looked back. I surely do suspect he and his agent got carried away.

I expect this team to finish 9-7 and Dak's contract to reflect it. Dak and Wentz are both highly capable QBs. It'd be quite fair if Dak's were to be slightly more and that's about all. The $30 mil that he was offered already should have been plenty, imho. Frankly, I'm surprised Dak took that position.

I'd say it's a tough year for Dak to put his financial future on the line, without question. Regardless as to how anyone might feel how Dak and Wentz compare to one another, the OP's contention bears merit that Dak's upcoming contract depends upon how he fares in this year's 2nd half.

Personally, I think Dak and Wentz compare to one another closely enough that their contracts shouldn't be too far apart. Nevertheless, the results of how Dak and Dallas fare in the last half of this season will probably greatly affect the amount to be awarded Dak for his contract.
One factor I see, whether it makes Dak's contract higher or Wentz's contract lower, is health. I don't know if Wentz is "injury prone" or just unlucky, but if he can't be counted on to play, that should certainly be reflected in his paycheck. It shouldn't affect Dak's finances, but the NFL is a strange, unpredictable entity.

I know we all like to bury tramatic events deep in our memory banks so as to forget, and as much as I hate to say it.....Wentz was the starting QB and a key player on a SB winning team. Yes Foles finished the season, but without Wentz, they wouldnt have made the big game.

Pundita will always favor QBs who win SBs.
If anything, that should hurt Wentz.

His team was SO stacked that his backup won all the playoff games and Super Bowl MVP.

His other 3 seasons? 7-9, 5-6 and now 4-4 thus far.

Oh, and that 5-6 season in 2018? His backup went 4-1 and won a playoff game.

Then in the offseason, several of Wentz’s teammates anonymously trashed him to the press. That happened again recently.... 3rd time in less than a year.

Daks in the top 10 if not top 5 for every meaningful passing stat this season.
