It’s because the Cowboys O-staff have unanimously agreed that it’s better to risk their jobs by helping Witten pad his HOF stats, rather than trying to win football games, LOL!

I'm glad Jarwin is performing as well as he is. But to complain about Witten after last night's game seems pointless. Witten had a great game. He was really solid in the blocking game and was open when he needed to be. He even had some decent RAC. Also, Witten just gets open. Even if he runs a 40 that can be timed with a sundial, he creates crazy separation. That's why he's a security blanket. He's open when he needs to be.

To be fair last year we still won the division, Zeke still won the rushing title with over 1,400 yards, we still won a playoff game all with-out Wit...So I don't know about the "infinitely more valuable" line.

All most are saying is Jarwin should be getting more snaps and looks.

exactly that....you are playing stat sheet and projection madden football...Jarwin's got one catch because he couldn't get open in other times and he made his catch on a broken play, with Dak directing him to get to the open spot....make routine plays, not spectacular ones and then you get to start....he is learning, getting better, playing better and getting more opportunities....

Jarwin should get 5 or 6 targets a game. There are plenty of plays to get him a few of them. Witten should also get 5 or so targets a game. Heck Pollard should be getting 4 or 5 targets a game also. This offense could be really dynamic if they weren't burdened with Garrett's offense.

Plays designed for Jarwin are different, for now.

They are two very different receivers. Witten is a guy who finds open spots in coverage and works as an short yardage receiver, but he is not going to break many long runs off after the catch. Jarwin is way faster and can get downfield. He is better at those seam routes. But Jarwin is not a dependable as Witten catching the ball.

But I still get the point. The Eagles manage to use two TEs very effectively.

Why isn't Jarwin starting?

A few reasons:

When Jason Witten works out the weights get stronger.
Jason Witten doesn't start. He finishes.
Jason Witten is the only person who can cover Jason Witten.
Jason Witten's helmet is wearing Jason Witten for protection.

You’re right, no other tight end in the league can run a 6-yard out.

Defensive coordinators are up all night trying to figure out a way to stop it.

Jarwin will be starting next season. Jason is Dak safety blanket and still gets the job done. Even tho he speed walks after his catch

How do you know Jarwin couldn't get open, and Dak was directing Coop on that play.
Also you need reps to make "routine" plays.

Because Whitney will go and catch eight of nine targets jarwin will not. Darwin is good in small doses but we've also seen him not catch the ball consistently. There is way more to the game than just speed.
