I was not impressed at all last night

I was impressed with quite a bit honestly. The game overall wasn't a statement game, or overly impressive, but there were a lot of things I'd been looking for that were there.

And we won, and beat the Giants. What's not to love.

Can't beat the Pats, the Vikings, the Eagles, et al playing like they did last night. Taking this game by itself I agree with you, but it won't get you a ring...

Sure. That's a different conversation though. And I agree with you.

Average is probably the better word. According to Football Outsiders, their run OL is 13th and their pass OL is 20th, which would put them smack dab in the middle overall. So we didn't beat up on a good OL last night but we didn't also just over the worst OL in the league either.
Understood friend! Appreciated!

Did you see a Super Bowl team there? Did they look sharp off a bye against a bad team? 25 years and counting. Being frustrated is totally acceptable.

????

What does that have to do with anything in my post?
Like I said, maybe find a new hobby if you can’t enjoy watching exciting football games that conclude with us winning by multiple scores.

Not everything is about 25 years blah blah blah. The Cowboys literally owe you nothing.
It’s a game.
Why watch if you can’t enjoy? Do you also listen to bands you don’t like just so you can complain about them when they release a new song?

This was a foregone conclusion. It was a lose-lose game. No way to satisfy the fans in this game.
Only if they'd won 75-0, with 5 interceptions and holding the Giants to negative rushing and passing yards........Oh, and Maher kicking the ball through the end zone.

So New England is a “typo” for Minnesota? OK. LOL. You just didn’t know who we play next week.

Drank can be a “typo” for drunk. New England can’t be one for Minnesota.
Hey, maybe he was home schooled!

A win is a win and they needed it last night. That said it was not a good win at all. The Giants are terrible and that game was up for grabs in the 4th. Bad penalties, Cobb drops, bad turnovers, ST screw ups, and strange play calling was all on display. I will also say I think other than a couple big plays the secondary stunk. Chido is so overrated in these parts. Lewis shouldn’t play over Brown he should play over Chido. I think NE is going to expose these clowns in a couple weeks.

Was anyone impressed with last night?

1) Were you impressed with NE against the Ravens on Sunday night?
2) I agree that Lewis should be on the field more. I don't care where, just get him out there.
3) Division game away. Nothing easy about that ever. And I don't think the Giants are a bad team. They are getting better and have a lot of weapons and a young QB who is accurate and can run. NYG gave NE all it could handle and only lost because NE got two defensive TDs. NYG played NE tough a few weeks ago.
4) Penalties, drops, turnovers, and special teams were all a problem. Need to fix ASAP.
5) Got to be impressed that we finally got some splash plays on defense. Sacks, interception, fumbles, and a defensive TD.
6) Offense and defense showed up, offense was late to the party again but put up 30 points.

i was impressed with the fact through all that they did not give up and never stopped playing with intensity. there humans man, no team is perfect. I mean look at the 49r's having a debatable with the cardinals in the first half, the packers losing to the chargers, the patriots getting smoked when there defense was said to be better then the legion of boom. there humans, lets just take a win for the week and go into next week new without baggage from previous games. lets be fans, and do a good job at that first.

Back in the dynasty era, I would say that half of the wins were "not impressive". People should go back and look at the game logs. There are very, very, very few teams in history that basically dominate every game.

Last night was promising but not perfect.

What top level teams do is that they really lay the wood on good teams a few times. That's what really separates them. Dallas has not done that yet. They failed miserably against NO and GB. Dallas didn't have an opportunity to even do that last night given that you could beat them 40-0 and it would still just be beating the Giants. Even beating the Eagles doesn't count because, let's be honest, they are a thoroughly mediocre team.

The next two weeks are going to say a lot about Dallas. If they go 0-2 then Dallas is simply a mediocre team that will tease you from time to time but always let you down.

Where were these threads when the Eagles barely squeaked past the Bears this weekend?

A win is a win. Some of them start out ugly. At the end of the season, it doesn’t matter.
This isn't an Eagles forum, duh! :muttley:

We beat Jacksonville 40-7 early last year when they were supposed to be hot stuff following an AFC Championship game appearance and there was still a lot of complaining. It's just the norm for a large portion of football fans now.

Oh goodness, people like the OP are insufferable. It was a road game against a division rival. Those games are ALWAYS tough. So much went against us, too. Bad penalties, weird TOs, etc. And yet the Cowboys still won pretty handily. If you weren't happy with last night, then I figure you're just looking for reasons to be unhappy.

The Cowboys could beat the Vikings on SNF and I'm sure that some fans will find reasons to complain and not enjoy the win for a day or 2.

I'm a Cowboys fan, I'm not ashamed of it, even if you are.

I'm still struggling how your badly mangled the spelling of Minnesota.

The whining never stops. Some fans are too focused on what happened only in the 1st half or 1st three quarter, which by the way we were in the lead.
It was a fun game to watch. Get perfect out of your head, it's never happening.
We blew NY out of the water in the second half.
It was a big, divisional game we needed.
The defense looked very good, they got sacks, played inspired and created turnovers AND put points on the board.
We ran the ball very well.
There were a couple bad throws and drops, but overall the offense took command.

The thing that impressed me the most was Will Hernandez suckering Cowboys D players into penalties. I can't think of a team with worse lines than the Giants, and they proved that last night, and he is the enforcer, the only one and he escaped punishment and got the Cowboys into trouble. That was the highlight of a very poorly played game.

But, I wasn't expecting much coming off a bye week after beating the Eagles and facing the Giants. There are some good teams in the NFC but the Giants are not one of them, only the Skins keep them from being the worst.
