thanks...
Not sure
My thoughts , Loved the defense getting TOs Bennett is giving us a spark looks like all he wanted to do was play and he has all the playing time he wants now . Tom Brady buckle your chin strap cause its coming.I loved the way they used D-Law as a DT and Bennett as a DE on a bunch of plays. That's good stuff from the coaching staff!
Or...the Cowboys restructured it after they traded for him.I thought we had him for next year too.
Conflicting reports below:
"The 11-year veteran was shipped to New England this offseason following one year with the Philadelphia Eagles. Bennett has two years remaining on a restructured contract that can keep him in Dallas through the 2020 season."
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001069111/article/patriots-trade-de-michael-bennett-to-cowboys
and
"According to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Bennett restructured his contract as part of the trade to Dallas, and will become a free agent at the end of the season. Per Pelissero, Bennett can earn close to $2 million in base salary and active roster bonuses over the final nine games of Dallas' season, plus an additional $750,000 in possible incentives."

Either lazy reporting or whatchama call it .... um fake news
and same can be said about SF and NE....NE played one tough team and they got taken to the shed.....5-3 is a good thing but lets be real, we beat the Giants twice, Skins once and the Dolphins our only win out of the 5 that was against a competent team was the Eagles and i think we caught them on a bad night and alot of injuries. We really haven't beaten anybody yet. The meat of our schedule is coming up and from what i have seen thru 8 games i say it's 50/50 that we wind up the season at either 8-8 or 9-7 (hope i'm wrong? but i just don't see us being much better than that. Anybody here really think we looked good as a team last night?
a lot of those can be attributed to Jones...much like last year, a lot of our sacks could be attributed to Dak.The Giants have a good OL? This was the 3rd time they've given up over 5 sacks in a game (8 to Arizona), and the 4th time over 4 sacks. They have allowed 29 sacks in 9 games, and are on pace for 52 on the season. Now, to be fair, I am sure a decent part of that is on Jones as he is a rookie trying to learn, but still. It's hard to call them good.
dude thank you for this post. some of the people who are on here, i wonder why they are even cowboy 'fans'. there worse than Stephen A Smith, and Shannon on hating on our OWN team. lets support these guys man, they already get enough hate.
Or...the Cowboys restructured it after they traded for him.
It's lazy reading.
Gonna start with the new guy on the block, Michael Bennett.
Stat line

This is a great game considering its his first game and he's getting acclimated to his teammates. He never stops moving. He had a couple penalties but thats him. He's had them penalties his entire career because he pushes the limit on lining up right on the LOS. Thats his game, as he wants to put pressure on that guy in front of him. He got into Jones' head the first time he hit him. Drove him right into the ground, and you saw it later in the game where Jones saw Bennett coming free and panic'd into a bad throw.
You saw him get comfortable with his teammates as the game went on too. Thats the biggest part of the night for me. You could tell at the start he looked to be closed off of sorts. But the more he played you could see him open up and got comfortable with them and started celebrating and letting loose. Thats when you started to see him become a nightmare for the OL. They just couldnt block him and he was in the backfield all night. This guy is going to only get better and i think we're going to see alot of sacks coming for this DL. 5 sacks lastnight, and the giants have a good OL.
Jourdan Lewis, is Dallas' best CB. He is basically the only CB who isnt getting beat. He understands the system and he locks up WRs, and puts hits on in the run game. He's always around the ball and isnt afraid to get dirty. How this kid was being sat in favor of Brown IMO is just a case of a stubborn coach stuck in his own way. BIggest problem this team has the coaches unwilling to think outside their own box.
Sean Lee, balled out lastnight and son'd Barkley all night. So much that Barkley didnt want no part of him in the 4th. We saw just what made Lee so good, unmatched instincts and fluid pursuit. Vander Esch didnt even enter my thoughts lastnight.
Demarcus Lawrence, has had a ressurgence and had a monster game lastnight aswell. Him and Bennett are a perfect match for eachother. The way they started using them interchanging them inside and outside give this team a different look teams are going to have to start game planning for.
Respect for Robert Quinn. Hernandez was acting like a you know all game, and Quinn had enough grabbed him by the facemask and treated him like a little kid holding him there in front of everybody. Hernandez didnt cause anymore problems after that.
Martin, Frederick and Williams are coming together and are starting to dominate teams. Williams and Martin when pulling is a thing a beauty.
You can see just how much Witten loves this organization. He's not going to beat anybody deep, but nobody expected that. But, even at 37 nobody can cover him in the flats and across the middle. They try but they just cant. His blocking has been incredible this yr.
Gotta respect Jarwin aswell. He should be starting but he knows his place and what Witten means so taking the backseat for now without causing any problems.
Looking forward to this next month for this team. All great games.
lol. I dont think I myself could of put it a better way.. Thats EXACTLY how they sound on the post.Stephen A is way better then these posters you are talking about. Stephen A at least admits he doesn't like the Cowboys and in fact when he's laughing at the Cowboys he is laughing at our dumb fan base. Which is a pretty awful fan base. You've seen people on this board post. I myself don't believe a lot of them are Cowboy fans but can you imagine if those same posters who come here to trash every aspect of this organization, actually walk around there streets at home and CLAIM to be Cowboy fans. I mean. I'd laugh at their face.
Me - " What's your NFL team?"
Them - " The Cowboys "
Me - "nice man! Me too. What did you think about last nights game?"
Them - "I was pissed we won. I want to lose every game so that we get rid of Jason Garrett. Then I want to continue losing so Jerry looks like a fool and has to step down. Then I hope we lose for another few seasons so that Dak is exposed and we can get a real QB. Then I hope we lose for another few seasons so that the media calls for Stephen Jones head."
Could you imagine meeting someone that claims to be a fan that talks like that?
They're not conflicting. The two articles you originally posted were published a week apart. He was traded on the 24th. The restructure was announced on the 31st. So yes, your reading of it was lazy lol.Really ?
This is why I don't post often....unreal
I posted conflicting articles (point of my post) so who to say "what is true".
It does not say that "Dallas did it".
Maybe the Pats did??
It says:
Bennett restructured his contract as part of the trade to Dallas, and will become a free agent at the end of the season.
and from the tweet
#Cowboys DE Michael Bennett restructured his contract as part of last week’s trade and is now set to be a free agent in March, per sources. Bennett can earn close to $2M in base salary and active roster bonuses for rest of 2019 + $750K in incentives. Last year of old deal deleted
There is probably more articles out there, but why bother.
No need to feed the trolls!

Great song!
OP was spot on.
We need to play with more tempo. Mixing run with pass and vice versa. We did that in the second half and it worked very well. Let our defense with Bennett as our new guy do their thing, and put points on the board with the O!My thoughts , Loved the defense getting TOs Bennett is giving us a spark looks like all he wanted to do was play and he has all the playing time he wants now . Tom Brady buckle your chin strap cause its coming.
Oline dominant Top 5 unit at this point , Zeke looks in top form now , Witten consistent , Dak continuing to do what he has to win Reading defenses well and throwing the ball well .
That said there are some concerns that need to be addressed before we play good teams . There is no reason why we should have to continually watch Giants receivers make highlight reel one handed catches while our guys drop the ball . Too Many drops !!!!! period
If we cant cover kicks we need a kicker that can put it through the endzone , 1st and 10 at the 50 is going to get you beat .
We cant keep having 100yrds of penalties with TDs called back because of holding
Need to be careful what opponents we try to make Dak be Romo against . Ints on the 1st play of the game in the shadow of your goal post in their house is a recipe for disaster.
When a team is bad against the run use it till they stop it control the clock move the chains dont get cute and make mistakes . Get the win and get out .
Bottom line Great win did a lot of really good things out there showed we have the talent to beat anyone left on our schedule if we use it correctly and gear it to the specific opponent.
Giants are a bad enough team where we could experiment and the mistakes could be covered . There were a lot of mistakes !! The rest of the schedule is not close to being as forgiving so it needs to get cleaned up pronto
