I love how LVE was a huge bright spot on our defense last year, and now everyone thinks he’s should be riding the bench
When healthy LVE will start
But Lee is tremendous depth and as smart as any player in the league
Hall of fame talent lost to injury but well worth the cost of keeping around to be depth and a teacher

I have been saying that Lee needs to be on the field more. Not only did he play a great game but he seems to elevate the play of Jaylon Smith too. They need to figure out how to get all three of them on the field in a way that maximizes the talents of all of them. No one on this team has the awareness and recognition of Sean Lee. Last night was the first time in forever that I saw a Cowboys LB meet a RB in the backfield of the opposing offense.

Sean Lee had a great game tonight. Great tackling.

And that play where he lit up Barkley on the screen for a loss of 6 yards was classic Lee. Recognized the play and executed.

Lee's still got it and more.
he is much better if he starts and gets the feel for flow of the game. he has this uncanny ability to time things, wait until right time to go to the ball carrier or receiver, but off the bench he is ineffective since he doesn't have the feel. only if he wasn't injury prone.... but its good to know we have such depth....

Regardless of what happens with the staff this offseason, bring Lee back as LB coach for next year. Dude is a future DC easily.

Don't argue with me on this.

Lve should ride the bench until Lee gets hurt again..

Jaylon and Lee have made a better duo this year and it's not even close. I like lve but he's declined this season.
we use all 3 most games , so not sure why one rides the bench etc.. its Thomas who goes back to the bench when LVE comes back..

With better health Lee was a hall of famer. Damn shame.

He never lost it...he just could never stay healthy. Hopefully LVE comes back soon 100% so Lee can go back to his role of providing depth. They have actually handled Lee well this season. Limit his snaps, keep him fresh so that if/when LVE or Jaylon get hurt, he can fill in for a game.

Sean Lee added a ton to the defense. I was thinking maybe he should start for the rest of the season

No doubt This was vintage Lee! I was amazed at his reaction, recognition last night. He was so good! I'm happy for him, he is one of my favorite players besides Dak attack.

He's slipped a bit this year. I don't think he should be on the bench, though, just at SLB when we use three linebackers. Lee plays with a great understanding of the game, so putting him at the position where he has to take on blockers less lets him do what he's best at, using that understanding to get in position to make a play. LVE is a more physically gifted player. He doesn't need to be freed up as much as Lee does to make a play. He can take on blockers better.

Lee played a bigger role in the defensive performance against Philly than some seem to realize. This game wasn't an aberration for him but simply how he plays when he's healthy and at WLB.
