Should Sean Lee return as starter next year in 2020?

Under these kind of roles and circumstances, where Sean Lee is limited in snaps and his new SLB role
that he's taken on this year, that could have played a part in him not taking as much
toll, wear and pounding on his body, could there be a scenario where
the Cowboys will want to return Lee for another NFL season for on another 1 year contract ?
(he will be 34 years old next July)

Or do they opt to make an offer to young top reserve Joe Thomas (due to be a FA) as the new SLB starter ?

As a starter, you've got to think he goes right back to the injured list pretty quickly. I think his current role of backup and spot starter has been beneficial given that our LB depth behind Lee when he was a starter was incredibly poor and led directly to losses.

How cheap?

I’d bring him back for the right price. He has a 6MM cap hit this year. No way we should have him back at a similar cap number.

We run a 4-3 he should be starter with lve and smith and in nickel and dime package he should be on the sidelines

in place of who? Smith? or LVE? he was supposed to be the strong side starter this year....he is a better weak side LB...

problem with him is not ability, its being injury prone. if he is the starter, then be ready to have a back up because he will get injured.

Not a starter but I think he’s a good rotational player. He can’t stay healthy for a full season but to have him fresh for a playoff run would be great. I like LVE but he doesn’t have that experience and instinct like Lee has. Lee blows up RBs in the backfield more often than not and he’s done it to a lot of good RBs.

It is not my money and the guy has played great. Lee is a stud. He has embraced his current role and balled against the Giants. Who ever doesn’t want Lee backing up Jaylon and LVE are just plan nuts. Sean Lee knows more about the game than the majority of NFL players.

Go Dallas!!!
