Can we go 7-1 down the stretch?

If Cowboys go 7-1 in second half, I'll ban myself for a month, much to the delight of some posters. However, don't hold your breath:)

Not sure about Thxgiving game Bill is too smart and Garrett wont have them ready again

Don't sleep on the Bills. Cole Beasley must be looking forward to coming back to Dallas. He probably wants to have a huge game.

Good to get a win, even against a really bad giants team. A win is a win. 5-3 at the half way point- not terrible but that Jets loss makes getting a #2 seed very difficult. Difficult but not impossible.

So with 8 games to go, IMO, in order for this team to have a legit shot to at least advance further than they have since ‘95, they either have to get the #2 seed by going 7-1 down the backside of the season (and get some help) or just get extremely hot as a #4 seed, and win a WC game and a divisional playoff game for the first time in 24 years.

That’s the bottom line for me this season. Be better than they have been the last two decades. Can they do it?

Maybe. But they’re going to have to play a lot better than the last 8 games.

Remaining schedule is tough- Vikes, Pats, Bears, Bills, e-girls, and skins. Those teams combined are 23-10-1. We need to go 7-1.
Time to prove it- contender or pretender.

They will be lucky to go 4-4.

They will have many more injuries, its the NFL. So coaching will have to overcome them with strategic game planning. I just don't see that. So I don't see a 7 and 1 stretch.
Name me one team that has won this year with both their starting tackles out.

Can't, don't care. Sick of the excuses. Find another way to win. Run different plays, get the ball out quickly with short passes and screens, adjust. Don't call the same plays and expect them to work. And that's what they did, and didn't have a Plan B. They stunk it up. Hec, if that's all the coaches can muster, if that's all they can do, then I might as well coach the team. I expect more from a coaching staff, knowing how to adjust.

It's one thing to lose, but to lose without any decent effort at adjustments, it's pitiful.

Oh no problem, just do what no other team has done in recent history by using a strategy that the opposing team knows you have to use.

Yes, that's what I expect. Rise above, against a winless team. Find a way. Out coach the other team. Give both tackles help. Its possible.

There will be more key injuries to overcome this season. Let s see them overcome them. They can do it.

5-3. Nothing more to say, and that is optimistic IMO.

5-3 is a realistic record to expect. They should beat the Bears, Skunks and Bills. Minn and Detroit is very beatable, philthy is a toss up. NE and the Rams games are where I see two losses....another will come from one of the above three mentioned.

But, there is no team left on the schedule that Dallas can’t beat if the right team shows up.

I’m so sick of our ****** fan base. So last year didn’t happen. I guess I dreamed we were 3-5 and somehow made the playoffs last year BY GOING 7-1 DOWN THE STRETCH and beat Seattle.

I think 5-3 is possible

Our defense is a problem.

Unless something sparks this team--ie, a good win against a good team--I think we'll end up around 9-7.

The team from the first 3 quarters of the Giants game was the same one that lost to the Jets. Unfortunately, I don't think that team is going anywhere, so I expect more of the same for the rest of the year.

Did we win the SB last year? Or for the last 20 years for that matter? Alcohol has robbed me of my memory.

Unless their defenses are in the bottom rung of the NFL, Dakota will struggle and 9-7 or 8-8 looks like the season record

At best to me 6-2. Likely 5-3. We have a shot in any game but still.

No- Best case 6-2. If we cant pull off 10 and 6 we dont deserve to make it. Hopefully Philly birds will lay a rotten egg but dont count on it.
