No, it's pretty clear that giving another team fuel motivates that team to kick the crap out of your team. It's better to shut up and let them play. It's very rare that calling out another team or player on that team is a positive thing. There is absolutely no point in it other than trying to generate publicity.

Jerry's just proving that to him, press is more important than winning.

If the Cowboys were so good that it wouldn't matter, that would be one thing, but they lot to the Jets... The JETS.

Sounds to me like Jerry is merely setting up the narrative to justify a potential massive salary by anointing Dak Prescott as a tier 1 quarterback (never *really* heard that about Kirk), and de-anointing Kirk a bit to a tier 2 quarterback. After all he never really heard that … behind closed doors or with doors open.

I just made a write up on this game to another poster. Dallas will either blow the Vikings out or win in a close defensive battle. And that is only if the Vikings can wakeup defensively with injuries.

Did the Cowboys win or lose? Did the Vikings have any turnovers? Did Cousins help his team score 28? Game over. Whether they got motivation or not by Jerry's comments, it is a dumb thing to do because it might motivate them. It's not rocket science.

The playcalling at the end was idiotic, but the Vikings played very well at the end....ergo the Vikings BEAT the Cowboys. The Cowboys didn't just beat themselves.
