right. It’s pure stupidity. If he is fair catching regardless. Then go for the block. You don’t need guys setting blocks for a return man who is going to wave for a fair catch.

Nearly as depressing as the Demarco Murray fumble in Green Bay with nothing but open grass in front of him
Typical Garrett move to force the fair catch AND not even attempt a block on the punt.
That’s what was awful they made no effort to block it so you would think they were setting up for the return.

he had one guy to beat and it's a house call. Wow!! I saw it in the original play but this really shows how open it was. Man. This borders on criminal. Yet he keeps his job. Un f'in believable.

That’s exactly why I wanted to watch it...I wanted an explanation,and no they didn’t get into that really. It should have been a big talking point play.

Good Lord, there is one Viking guy and three blockers and he fair catches it.
If he doesn't house call that, he at least gets it to the 20 or so. Much easier to toss into the zone from the 20 than the 50.
