“He needs Zeke” is dead.

“He’s only good when Zeke dominates” is dead.

“We need to feed Zeke in order to win” is dead.

“Any QB can do what Dak does if they had Zeke and this OL” is dead.

This is a passing league and we have a damn good QB. His biggest haters still won’t admit that because they’re mouth-breathing trash, but this isn’t meant for them. We can smile and nod politely at them as an official stance.

Unfortunately, we paid an undeserving, immature clown of a RB a ton of money to be average. That cost us a crucial game last night. Zero chance we would have ran twice with a cheap RB at the end there like we did with Zeke.

The organization mixed up correlation with causation. “But our record is X-X when Zeke runs 20+ times or for 100 yards!” That’s because in those games we’re either playing with a lead or we’ve passed successfully as well.

When do we EVER win when Dak plays like crap? We don’t. Just like we didn’t win when Romo played like crap.

The QB nearly overcame our garbage run game and our garbage defense last night. Dak isn’t just a damn good QB, he’s a tremendous leader with an incredible work ethic. He deserves to be the engine of this offense. He has proven that and EARNED that right. Zeke’s contract can no longer get in the way of common sense if this team wants to be better than average.

Orlando Scandrick said it best on “Undisputed” last week when comparing Carson Wentz to Dak. “Some guys play QB because it’s a position. Dak plays QB because it’s a lifestyle.”

Hand him the keys to the offense, permanently.

Cut your losses with Zeke. Nobody would trade for his garbage contract, but we can at least start phasing him out a bit. He has no business getting 20+ touches vs a good defense when they’ve already shown early on that they’re stuffing the run.

Sad that we learned nothing from the playoff loss to the Rams. Zeke was utterly useless that night while Dak played well and gave us a chance to win.

Just like last night.

Better play calling would solve a lot of what hurts the Cowboys.

Consistently running up the middle on 1st down solves nothing.

Watching the Cowboys do that last night was extremely frustrating.

Umm, we repeatedly lose when the opposing defense shuts down zeke. See the new orleans game, the jets game and the vikings game.
*Smiles and nods politely*

I never said anything to the contrary, genius.

In fact, you made my point for me. See how many touches Zeke got in those games.

18 rushes for 1.8 per carry vs the Saints.

28 rushes for 3.8 per carry vs the Jets.

I will say you said if we had a cheap running back they wouldn't run it there but that is exactly what they did vs New England in 2011. had the lead and the ball and instead of going for a first down and throwing garrett with his starting running backs and guards injured ran the ball. Dallas kicked a field goal and then brady went down and scored as time expired.

So this head coach most certainly would.

Fair point, but that was 8 years ago and at New England.

It’s LESS likely that we’d stupidly rely on the run with a cheap RB, how about that?

This is literally the dumbest post of the year.

Single safety high and man coverage on the outside pretty much all game last night, with the Vikings bringing in another man in the box all game long. The Vikings left their CBs on islands all game long on the outside, including a young CB on a guy whose becoming in the upper echelon WRs in the game.

Cobb’s drag routes deep were working precisely because of this and the OL giving Dak all day to throw on third and long.

yeah, I’m sure defenses are focused on Dak..

Dak was great but let's not push it. He did his job but usually in these situations he makes things worse but he was unbelievable.

Also, Zeke needs space. I'm not a big Zeke fan but he is a unbelievable RB but every RB needs some space to operate in and he was met in the backfield or at the LOS constantly.

Slow start and terrible playcalling cost us the game. Coaching, coaching, and coaching.

I still don't understand how this defense is so mediocre with the players they have.

Won’t admit that the Vikings pretty much sold out to stop the run all game long.. yeah I know..
You’re exactly what I alluded to. You’re one of them.

And I never said that the Vikings DIDN’T try to stop the run, now did I? Congrats on arguing with thin air!

Dak shredded the Vikings D all night. Zeke was garbage all night.

What does it say about Zeke’s worthiness of the huge contract he got when he’s THIS useless anytime a good D gears up to stop him? Even when the QB is playing lights out?

Last night was the type of game that our last QB was defended for carrying the team and not having any help from the running game or defense. Dak doesn't get the same treatment from the never-Dakers. They are too entrenched in their agenda. They have to keep up their online Dak trolling persona.

This post is completely stupid. You claimed Dak should be given the keys, because we overpaid a clown RB that underperforms, yet the Vikings game plan was completely set on stopping Zeke and the Vikings were content ALL NIGHT with one safety and putting a second year safety on Cooper all night long in man coverage, with their starting CB out.

Dak’s major yardage all came on third and longs, when the OL gave him all day to throw, while our WRs were running in around in man coverage, running deep routes. The following is from the second quarter alone. Cooper on a 3rd and 12 for 20, Gallup for 15 on 3rd and 12, Jarwin for 26 on 3rd and 3, Cobb for 22 on third and 7.

Th Vikings rarely blitzed on third and when they brought a basic blitz, our OL completely stone walled them.

even Jerry Jones, drunk could see It:

You basically could’ve put a sign on the start of the game that said, ‘Zeke's not going anywhere,’” Jones said after Dallas’ 28-24 loss. “That was the story of the game. (They) designed a plan to win the game that way.”

yes, your poost was ridiculous absurd. The moment Vikings went two safeties, Dak took the checkdown to Zeke on a fourth down blowing the game.

Dalvin Cook broke tackles all night. Even when he appeared to be stuck in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage.

Zeke was a bum. He didn’t make anyone miss all night, nor did he break any tackles. I can think of at least 1 play where he was outside in space, and got tackled by the 1st defender for a paltry gain of 3-4.

I wouldn’t be in favor of paying Dalvin Cook either if he was a Cowboy. But Cook’s a hungry guy still looking to get paid while Zeke has already been paid.

They both ran like it last night.

So Dak sucks because he was killing it on 3rd and long.

But Zeke’s good because he was pure garbage due to the Vikings selling out to stop the run.

Hahahahahahahahahahha
