First time I've agreed with the OP during all my years here. One of Prescott's best games ever. Ashamed that it didn't end with a win. Truly an incredible performance in so many aspects... Dime throws... crucial 3rd and long conversions.. moved around well and extended plays, threw well on the run. Harsh business because we'll all remember the last drive. No excuses.
Sounds awfully familiar....probably gonna be another wasted Career because of garrett

He and so many of our other players will suffer the same fate as Romo led teams, wasted talent because of Garret....but then again, like Romo, I wont feel sorry if he continues to stand behind this sorry *** HC. Youre the face of the franchise, make a statement

And, what exactly do you think Dak should do? Throw his HC under the bus? He is in a no win situation. I wish he could say what was really on his mind, but, he can't.

What a terrible, gut wrenching way to lose a game where Dak really was the best player in the stadium. Unfortunately, he's gonna have to start calling his own number and blowing off the coaches if he wants to win anything.

I'm not that upset about the loss.

As long as Garrett is the coach I have just come to expect these types of losses.

Coming out slow and going down 14-0 and losing late in the game is not a shocker.

Under Garrett we find ways to lose. It's just what he does.

Hopefully management doesn't allow him to waste another set of quality players careers.

This is another lost year for Zeke who will have a very short career.

This needs to be said.

On the first drive of this game we failed to get points because of the QB. It was solely on him. Nobody covered Zeke out of the backfield on 2nd down and he was missed and that throw to Cobb on 3rd down was terrible. I posted "Bum QB" right after. I also started shadowboxing. (I do some shadow MMA too.)

But from that point on I feel like this was Dak Prescott's finest performance as a Dallas Cowboy. He had no help in this game against a really good defense and he damn near won it.

The offensive line was pitiful. Zeke was a complete non factor. The defense was a joke. Our kicker couldn't be relied on. We were down two touchdowns. In primetime against a very real contender. No bus driver stuff here. He was the bus.

That Giants game to start this year may have been more gaudy but with the level of competition and considering his lack of a supporting cast this was clearly better. He put the team on his shoulders.

I have to be fair in my evaluations and I thought this was outstanding. I actually feel sorry for him that he lost this game.

So well done, Rayne. You showed up when so many of your teammates didn't.

(If this thread is ever referenced in the future I will deny posting it.)
I'm proud of you.

Agree 100%. Dak and his WRs were the only reason this game was close. Stupid coaching decision to take the ball out of his hands when it mattered.

I know they had to keep running Zeke occasionally. but at the end running him on both 1st and 2nd down when he had bee getting stuffed play after play after play made no sense. Dak had carried the team to that point, both in that drive and through the game, so they should have put the ball in his hands to carry it home.

I don't think this coaching staff gives him that much freedom. That might have made sense in 2016 but not now.
Most QB’s audible about 40% of the time according to NFL. He certainly looks like he’s calling audibles.

Is Dak not able to read defenses . Is this another weakness??

Should Dak start audibling more?
Not sure how good Dak is at diagnosing defenses and calling his own plays at the LOS. An OC should have a feel for the game, understand what has not been working and call the best play for the situation.

Good post @Risen Star. But I must say, Dak is quietly having his best year ever, by far. He has clearly elevated his game to the point that he is carrying the team this year.

But I also agree he seemed to have little help from anyone other than his receivers last night.

Great. We’re fixing to pay him and the kid can’t read defenses at LOS? That’s not a problem . Lol
