What kind of coach tosses his own team under the bus?

[Reporter] Question: So that was more of a player choice? You didn't say no matter what?

[JG] "You lay out the situation. Let's not waste a lot of time. If you don't have a real good opportunity here to go make a return directly north and south, don't waste a lot of time. In that situation, the way he saw it, he went ahead and made the fair catch and gave us the opportunity around mid field. In hindsight when you look at it there might have been an opportunity for him not to do that and to kind of hit it north and south and see if we could make some yards out of it."

At the end of the day, Garrett has the world's best job. He is paid like he is royalty, he basically does nothing at all, he has other coaches who handle the coaching stuff, while he just gives speeches and holds meetings. Then when something bad happens, he gets to explain what happened and since he has no part in the offense or defense, all of the blame goes on the other coaches. hahahaha.

Garrett should write a book on how to obtain a high paying job and insulate yourself against all blame.

He would just use a ghostwriter and blame him if the book did not sell.

I'm confused. If Austin runs the ball North AND South, won't that leave him in the same spot?

Moore is going through growing pains and the team is paying the price for it. That being said....yet another team above .500 yet another loss. Frustrating to say the least. This team just can't get over the hump with JG at the helm. Proof is in the last 10 years. Different coordinators different assistant coaches same HC same results. And round and round we go.

Somebody needs to ask him how come they never look ready to play. Notice his boy Rod gets no blame for the defense and its all the players fault.

Who manages the game, Jason? You literally have ONE job and are pitiful at it. At the end of the day, the buck stop with you.

What a spineless sack of butt holes. I hope he keeps this up and completely loses the support of his players.

Jason Garrett on @1053thefan on the two run plays late: “Kellen’s calling the game. In that situation it’s 2nd and 2. He felt like he had a good opportunity against a favorable box to run the ball in those situations. On each of those plays we had options beyond just the run.”
Hmmm - the "Kellen's calling the game" part of it comes off wrong, but otherwise it seems he just answered the question and told it like it was.

The team wasn't ready to play again and he throws Dak, Moore, and Tavon under the bus. He should be fired just for that.
Gutless!!!!! Even if it was their fault, a good HC jumps on the grenade for his players. With all due respect to our Veterans. Happy Veterans Day fellas and God Bless you for your service.

The same coach who threw fellow coach Wade Phillips under the bus 9 years ago. Why would you expect him to change?

What owner allows Garrett to be here after 13 years of failure?

I love Jerry but this is negligence to leave this man as head coach he should have been fired in 2008

Not only that he said Dak had options. The last play they ran was empty set with a throw to Zeke. How is that giving Dak options?
