Lots of people do not believe they were 'publicity stunts'.

Why the heck would a guy threaten his livelihood for publicity stunts?

He was already on his way out of the NFL, or at most, a backup....

He now has multiple sponsors and something he can gain long term than a football career.

And he has already been called out by even former supporters with how much he has ignored the past few years.

Honestly Matt he did not have those assurances in place when all this began.

You may not agree with his stance, but i believe it was from the heart, right or wrong, and he has paid a high price for it, sponsors or not.

Jerry will do anything to save his boy Garret. Kap is just the distraction he needs to provide cover.

That may be true but the i'm quitting the team forever folks aren't saying this because he's a vegan or perhaps can't be better than Cooper Rush etc.. nobody seems to want to quit forever if we sign McClains, Hardys, Gregorys etc..

Heck, those sensitive folks are still here with Bennett on the team. They'll be around despite any "I will, just you watch me. I'm telling you, I will" grandstanding. Hot air.

That's why the Cowboys would be a perfect landing spot if he comes back. Heck, Robert Quinn is on the team too. LMAO

I never was a fan of Kaeps play, but compared to Cooper Rush? I'd kick the tires.

Of course, there's also the question as to "why" he's been a free agent for so long. Lots of different angles could be taken on that subject.
We all know why he has been a free agent this long

I've got some degree of faith in Cooper Rush but it's about as limited as his arm!
I'm, admittedly, just grateful now to see he's improved a lot over last year!

Probably makes more money for his politics with Nike than he can with his football at this point.

This is all odd, to me. Any team could have been "kicking the tires" on Kap at any time in the past three years, but elected not to do so. Now, the NFL comes up with open workout, of sorts, and most teams are sending a rep...very odd.

My main issue with Kap is that he is 32 now. We know what he is. Id rather stick with Rush and hope for more. If we were having a great season and thought we truly needed insurance Id consider rolling with Kap. Whether or not I agree with him doesn't matter either way, because I rarely let my politics or beliefs become intertwined with my fanhood. Im under no illusion. Im not rooting for the guys to win because I genuinely like them. If that happens along the way even better. Aside from that just take me to the promise land.
