Won't matter keep him for LIFE......as long as Jerry Jones is the GM our team is going nowhere!

I think a better coach can win playoff games. This guy is a clown and costs this team over and over on gameday. Yes, no doubt Jerry is a POS but this team has enough talent to win with quality at HC. The drafts have been very good, just need smarter clock management, scheme and preparation overall.

It's a tough call to guesstimate how many losses it takes to convince Jerry to part with his hope of the next Landry.

For any chance of being fairly assured of having that possibility approach a guarantee, I'd imagine it's 8-8, or less.

Something on the nature of a 9-7 might possibly offer a reasonably good case for Jerry to be tempted, though.

After watching all the stupid ridiculous coaching decisions by Garrett last night, then watching two well coached teams play, SF vs Seattle, there is NO WAY this team will ever win a Super Bowl with “ call for a fair catch, and ice your kicker” Garrett. I believe it will take a total collapse to get Garrett fired. Really, Jerry is happy with a good show, win or loss( he said it himself when GB had a 24 point comeback vs us. Garrett of course was coaching and Romo was QB)

Since Jerry loves his step son and just wants a good show, I think it will take a 7-9 record or worse to get Garrett fired. What is your prediction?
It's not a matter of "how many losses" it will take. It's a matter of time to which the answer is, at the season's conclusion. Jerry should clear the coaching slate at that time sparing no one. The new HC should be allowed to hire his own staff, something Garrett was never afforded.

The amount of losses to miss the playoffs.

Unless Dak, Amari or Zeke get injured soon he can't ride the injury train.

If he got in, I'm sure Jerry would excuse an one and done based off how hard they fought in a tough NFC conference.

Unless we win the superbowl his time in Dallas is over along with some of the coaching staff.

11 losses, Garrett's gone.

10 losses or less and anything short of an NFCCG appearance and a scapegoat will get the axe - whichever one Garrett throws under the bus.
Garrett always finds a way to survive. Hopefully, Jerry wakes up from Ground Hog day and does not resign him.

I can’t disagree with that opinion.

I don’t agree with that. Jerry is a meddling pain in the butt, but we do have talent. Jerry has not hindered our talent acquisitions. Look at Amari.

The lack of an extension, some public comments by Jerry, the fact that cowboy employed press members are trashing coaching, etc.

Beyond that, Jerry isn't the complete idiot that people make him out to be. Dallas is obviously being outcoached and he sees it. He has seen it for a few years and tried to fix it with assistant coach changes (Richard, Moore, etc.). After having Johnson, Switzer, Gailey, Campo, Parcells and Phillips in 17 years or so, Jerry seems to have decided to bank on stability. After 10 years with no results, I think Jerry has proven his loyalty and patience. Its time for him to pull the trigger.
Those are some solid reasons for Jerry to not resign Garrett, but I’m still skeptical. Jerry has let Garrett get to close to him! We will see though. I hope your correct.

With a record of 5-4 I assume he needs no less than 8 more losses to not be here next year.

Jerry doesn't care about losses , he wasn't even embarrassed to say it in the radio .

Jerry wants people he can rely on to talk to the press .

Garrett will get an extension, he will be here until Jerry kicks the bucket .

So 10 more years .
The opinions are so different. Who knows what is floating around in Jerry’s head!

Jerry is looking for reasons to keep that fool. It would not surprise me if Jason gets an extension with a losing record this season.
