Did anyone read the story? Landry's Cowboys only had 10 men on the field when Dorsett ran for his 99 yard TD. Of course, it didn't hurt in that case, but it's the same mistake nonetheless. Odds are this doesn't happen with the Cowboys any more than with any other team.

How can you all expect JG to know that if he is too busy calling the plays? Oh wait......
Some great coaches have great instincts about all things about their team and the flow of a game.
Other great coaches are OCD about everything and pick up even the minute details as they happen.

JG ain't either.
He's organized, is straight out of a handbook to be a floor manager with potential to be something more in the white collar industry including the 1st rule:
Always look out for #1 first.

Jason Garrett should be popping popcorn at the movie theater or moping the floors at the Empire State building. He should definitely not be a headcoach.

Sideline organization is a hallmark of Garret coached teams. We prepare the right way.

Yeah, it was mentioned by Collinsworth at the time! Alot of the miscommunication that plagued Richard's defense and that led to firing in Seattle has followed him here!

Covington ran off the field right before the snap, I could see from my couch they had 10. Not sure what's worse, this dumb *** coaching staff didn't call a TO, or that apparently the only defensive player permitted to call a TO is Jaylon Smith, who's as dumb as a box of rocks. He said "he didn't want to burn a timeout they might need." Hey, if you don't need it when you are playing 10 vs 11, when are you going to use it? dumb coaches, dumber players.

On offense you could think about not calling the timeout. The downside is low on offense, but really high on defense. You don't give the opposing offense an 11 on 10.

I wonder if the coaches had ever suggested this stupidity. I would say Jaylon's mistake is unbelievable, but it's just not on this team. Every other week we're watching coaching idiocy. Why wouldn't it infect the players too.

Add it to the Austin non-return for another instance of simply epic football incompetence.

Wish I knew what Fredbeard was ranting about. That could be a doozy too. He's not an overly emotional player.

We're the worst.

Just pathetic ....... I bet the Cowboys staff did not even notice after the fact.
JG admitted that they did not notice, or they would have called TO.
They should have someone whose main job is to see that this does not happen on game day.
With guys going out and coming in on every play this can happen, which is why they need 1 person
to do a count every play.
Or they could put it on a team captain who is always in the game but they could forget so better to have a sideline guy.
