Update: What has happened so far this week?

-We lost to Minnesota due to multiple reasons
  • Defense couldn't stop a fly. Dalvin Cook stomped on them. In the Sounds from the Sidelines video, it was confirmed that they knew they were getting destroyed by screens, but decided to do absolutely nothing about it.
  • Playcalling/Coaching. Running on every first down after they've constantly failed pulled us down. We wasted so many opportunities
  • Maher's typical missed field goal every game.
  • Dak having to audible every other play. I understand him being a 4th year QB that needs to audible from time to time, but the amount of audibles he made was getting ridiculous. Also, we aren't sure what happened on the sideline. It is possible Dak was told by Garrett or Moore to stop audibling so much. I'm thinking it was Garrett as he has the final veto/call of what to do. Even during the post game interview, he pressed on continuing to set up the running game.
  • The fair catch situation.
What happened after the following loss:
  • Garrett proceeds to throw Dak under the bus (he had options on the play), Tavon (O'Quinn, ST coordinator, also threw him under the bus) (communication issue, he had the final decision, etc), Moore (he handles all offensive calls).
  • Though this is a bit more of a stretch, Dak looked pretty tense/distressed during the game and even during the post game interview. He says he doesn't question the playcalling, but we all know he does or he wouldn't have audibled every other freaking play. He even hesitated when the question was asked.
  • Tavon "passively aggressively" fires back at Garrett for throwing him under the bus.
  • Amari, La'el, Zack Martin were notable injuries and were absent from practice on Wednesday.
  • Travis Frederick drama is revealed: He yells "Why are we running this" from the field to the sideline in anger. He also says in an interview "Share Accountability", an obvious shot at Garrett for throwing everyone under the bus.
  • A rumor comes out that this team reeks of arrogance and plays as a bunch of superstars instead of a unit team.
  • We are now 5-4 with only 1 win against a team with a winning record (They actually stated that the Falcons and Browns have more wins against contending teams than we do.)
  • The Break and The Fan speak out on Garrett and advise for him to be fired. Many other Dallas reporters also called him out. Note, these people work for Jerry Jones, and this kind of slander and talk would not be spoken out to the media if he didn't approve of it.
  • J-Lew calls out fans ("Y'all lame for panicking like this")
  • Zeke's controversial jersey signing ("Get That Bag $$")
  • Jerry Jones himself knew Zeke was not going to do much before the game even started.
All of this happened in less than a week. Of course, all of these problems were already problems, they're just glaringly obvious now that we lost and players/coaches are speaking out...

fans just want to see what fans want to see.

Next week if the Cowboys win, someone will post "I feel playoffs in the air"

Anyone else think this team is going to implode? The buildup to the final explosion is already baring its way...

Look at everything that’s going on.
  • Witten was getting pissed in the Jets game.
  • Garrett is calling everyone but himself out for last night’s performance.
  • Dak, a usual calm and collected leader, looked like he wanted to rant last night during the post game interview and looked pissed on the sideline. He still kept his cool but you can tell he’s getting fed up and would like to say something.
  • Tavon essentially fired back at Garrett for lying on him (Saying he did what he was told)
  • and now Frederick is yelling at coaches for their ineptness and stubbornness (last nights game during the whole 2nd and 2, 3rd and 2 debacle).

This team going up and down week to week shows the coaching is inept and something isn’t right from within. They can go from dominating, to good/bad, to straight up 0-4 Jets bad. Shooting yourselves in the feet every week isn’t normal. I know this is the Cowboys, but I don’t think it’s ever been this bad before from what I’ve seen with such a talented roster. Something big is about to happen...
Not gonna happen but I hope it does

that was one of the worst "tactical" decisions I've ever seen.
I was livid. Smh
So was Jimmy.

If we lose to Detroit next week, I'll fully believe we are imploding. These little quakelings of implosion are going to lead to a big one later on in the season. There's an implosion scale:
1-10, like the earthquake scale. If we lose to Detroit, I'd rate it a 7.5 on the scale. We are already around a 7 on the scale right now. Sooner or later, the big one (10.0) is going to come (players outright speaking agains Garrett, Jerry Jones speaking against him, JJ firing him, etc).

No. I think some fans may implode themselves out of frustration, and other fans want them to implode so they can crow about it, but reality is seldom as melodramtic as fans imagine. The likely thing is they will continue to plod through the season, winning some and losing some, and the question is simply if the ones they win will be enough to get them into the playoffs. I would say the odds are about 50/50.

Next up is Detroit, with quite possibly, a mediocre backup QB leading the charge. Losing in that scenario would be a loss of dramatic proportions. If that can't set off fireworks, I dunno what would it would take to do so!
This game could easily prove to be the one that really lights a fuse! :omg:

look for the dreaded "closed door meeting", players only. that's usually the harbinger of things to come. culling Marinelli and garrett would go a long way towards mending what ails the cowboys.

With Jerry picking the replacements, anything can happen! At least, it wouldn't be the same thing we've been tolerating for so long!

let Kellen run the offense and Richard the defense for the remainder of the season.

I'm starting to see the signs as well..

Imagine if we lose to the Lions? This is going to get bad.
If we lose to the Lions, the implosion will happen in New England. This team has checked out its coach. They asked Frederick yesterday if Garrett is getting too much criticism and he gave a very political answer. They asked Tavon if he felt the organization threw him under the bus and he gave a non-answer. @AmariChill is right, it's brewing.

I wouldn't object to that, although, Jerry would likely be afraid to exert such a bold move.

Through the years, he's gotten adverse to such bold decisions. Nice thought, though. ;)

If the implosion happens in NE, thats going to be very bad and embarrassing. I can see it reminiscing the Jets v. Patriots game from earlier this year at it's worst, I'm afraid. What do you think would happen if we imploded in NE? Players openly yelling at Garrett? Garrett openly getting angry at the players for blaming him? Will Dak actually call someone out in the post game interview?

Everyone wants to say this implosion is a long shot away and that our locker room is fine and has a lot of heart, but these past few weeks have said otherwise...

Here’s another tidbit.

“Hanging With the Boys” podcast from Tuesday never was available for download.

supposedly people who saw it live stated that the guys were ripping Garret and talking about how upset the players are for him not taking accountability.

During the episode from Wednesday Jesse Holley said (paraphrase). “We aren’t going to get into it today because we want this show to air”

Implying that the Tuesday episode was purposefully not available for download due to them making the comments they did.

unlike the eagles locker-room this team has too much heart.
lotta folks gonna be pissed when we win the east.

Just now seeing this. Where does this team have heart? They don’t seem to care about winning or losing in my opinion. There is no passion to win. No inspiration in playing the game. No emotion rather they win or lose, or if they get a stupid penalty they didn’t commit. No helping each other if a fight breaks out. I’m not saying we’re as bad as the Eagles, but to say this team has a lot of heart is ridiculous.
