I swear Jaylon is the elephant in the room nobody really wants to address head on. It's not an injury issue with him, it's an effort issue. In a decade of watching Sean Lee play, I've never seen him make this type of piss poor effort on a play. For him to play like this immediately after getting a contract and getting a captainship is disgraceful. And no it's not just one play, we see this type of little resistance taking on blocks several times a game from him.

Did Bob ever play football? Was he in the marching band? Was he on a forum where he could criticize without ever putting on a jock?? Just wondering....

it's not him being disinterested, it's "all I'm ever thinking about is my leg and not the task at hand" and fire the coaches for continually allowing it. It's one thing to protect yourself after a play, but he is 100% a liability every play if they attack him

Jaylon Smith Exemplifies the 2019 Cowboys......all flash and no smash. This team and its coach talk about being physical but they don't show up to the fight. Sure, they can push around the teams lacking talent, but when they face well coached teams with some good football players, they get their teeth knocked in, underwear pulled out and lunch money stolen.

Jaylon Smith should apologize to Jerry for taking his money after apologizing to his teammates for being so damn sawft.

Jaylon had all kinds of issues against the Vikes.

This little vacation.
Failing to call a timeout when we had 10 men on the field, giving up a 30 yard screen.
Drop foot causing a toe drag and inability to break down and change direction.

Emotional, mental, physical. He's got issues. The physical isn't a shock, but the mental and emotional are. At least to me. I thought he was as RKG as a guy could be.

He didn't take on the 320 lb G charging at him. The problem with this play isn't jaylon. The problem is the DL and Malik Collins. He should have stopped this running play cold. Watch him in the middle. Rather than dive and make the play. He stands up and puts a token arm out. Olay! Look at our other DL guys being tossed around like rag dolls. Whenever you have the OL getting to the second level, your LBs have no chance.

Even Ray Lewis had a bad year after Tony Siragusa retired. He no longer had a big body in the middle eating up space and keeping the G's off him.

It doesn't appear that pathetic in real time, slow motion tends to distort the game speed in my opinion. I'm not defending Smith, but that was one play and the defense as a whole looked gassed. They took a beating.

No, it was bad. After the push he was just a spectator for the rest of the play. Never the slightest effort to get back in the play.

Ok, a guy gets blocked and pushed downfield. Fine. But just giving up on the play is bad.

It's not being beaten by a G that's the problem, it's the complete give up after the initial push.

Wow, no defense for that.

He also said he noticed ten men on the field and didn’t call a timeout and would the same next time even though the play cost his team forty yards.

His attitude needs an adjustment.

His choice at that point was to save himself or get pancaked. Maliek's effort was worse b/c he actually had a chance to make the play.

The problem is Jaylon is a straight line player. He doesn't have the lateral ability with his injury and he never will.

It's also difficult to take one play and assume a player doesn't care. You could make a Twitter video for every player in the NFL for a play they absolutely fudged up.

Its stupid having him play mlb if his lateral ability sucks

So basically the players who got paid this off season are giving half *** effort it seems. Coaching staff needs to bench those players regardless of how much money they are making.

Does this team still play hard for Garrett? Maybe they realize with him at head coach it won’t matter.
