Both of those things are a type of analytic. It's perfectly reasonable to think that one is garbage. Especially one that is passed off as a "stat" or fact. At least with an eye test, everyone is fully aware, it is someone's subjective opinion.

It’s also subjective opinion to say “nobody worth their salt” values QBR.

Most stats are facts. QBR is generated from mostly statistical facts. Just because there is some subjectivity doesn’t make it garbage.

But again, most stats are facts. Including most of the stats that make up QBR.

The conclusions drawn from stats are what is subjective.

Every list like this is going to be subjective.. I'm not understanding the hate for Jimmy G.. leads Kansas to 8-0 with very few weapons.. and yet Dak surrounded by the leagues best O'Line and one of the top 3 RB's is struggling under 0.500 and yet is somehow better?

I think the 'list' was meant just to raise debate and provoke etc but not many top analysts rate what Dak is doing as all that special.. every opposition defence schemes for our run because they aren't scared of Dak.. so it is not a 'one off' thing of Dak not being rated that highly outside of Dallas.

With all that said.. I think the last two weeks have been some of Dak's best performances ever and I am very hopeful he has turned a corner.

Soooo,

NFL Live just did a segment where co-host and former DL Rob Ninkovich from the Hatriots gave his "TOP 5 QBS Under Age 30". Here they are, in order of Ninkovich's preference, with #1 being his top QB:

1. Patrick Mahomes
2. Deshaun Watson
3. Lamar Jackson
4. Kyler Murray
5. Jimmy Garoppolo

Is there anyone who would seriously take Kyler Murray or Jimmy Garoppolo over Dak? Heck, I wouldn't even take Deshaun Watson over Dak, and I would have to think very hard about taking Lamar Jackson over him.
Watson is amazing could end up being an all time great.

It's his opinion

Just do not think he is that good. Vick was all the rage at one time as well but never really measured up as a QB. Star supremely gifted athlete sure, but QB I’m not buying at this point. I take Dak every single time over Lamar.

Embrace the hate, it makes him improve all the more...

Dak has fed off hate since he slid all the way to the Cowboys compensatory pick in 2016.

There is nothing disrespectful about it, now leaving him out of top 10 maybe that would be. Not that we needed more of it, but it’s just more evidence that Dak slobberers just watch Cowboys games only. Kyler Murray has been amazing, especially considering he’s on the freaking Cardinals and his age. Jerry would be the only GM stupid enough to take Dak over him, and even he might not.

It's funny when I see comments like this it's always the same 4-5 people who like it. Do you guys just follow each other around smashing the like button on every dumb thing that comes out of each others mouths?

Dak's better than almost everybody on that list even with a coach like Carrot.

One thing Lam has over Vick is that this season his passing is 2x better than Vick's best passing season. They are both great athletes with running ability but the similarities really stop there.

Kyler Murray? That is egregiously stupid.

Asking a D-lineman his opinion on quarterback play is like asking an 8 year old to opine on international affairs.

It might be entertaining, but you won't learn anything useful.

A lot of those guys are running quarterbacks, and exciting. They are highlight reel QB's that the media likes to promote unfortunately they are also all unreliable quarterbacks that will spend most of their time on IR after they get hurt by running.

The San Francisco quarterback listed is baffling to me. I wouldn't even have him in the top 18 quarterbacks.

Prescott is a pocket passer for the most part. He's boring. Kind of like Tom Brady he's boring.

Its funny because you and the bubble boys on the other side disagree. Y'all do the same thing on the opposite side so hell you crying about folks doing the exact same thing you and others do? Daks not better than everybody on that list but we all believe what we want to.
