Only problem I have is that I wish we actually had a “coach” that made these decisions. Like we did with Jimmy, and Bill. Make not mistake about it, it’s Belichick that makes that decision for the Pats. Wish we had that type of coach again. Would love to hear Jerry tell the media “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Coach Payton” or “Coach Riley about that”

1. Jerry was on the polar opposite side of Kappy bashing the cops.
2. Kappy is/was not a good QB.
3. Kappy has gone out of his way to offend NFL owners.
4. Kappy has a horrific attitude and believes the NFL owes him something.
5. Kappy offended a very large percentage of NFL fans by showing disrespect for a patriotic symbol.
6. Kappy is a buffoon, and is only now trying to get back into the NFL when he found out that he was not bigger than the NFL.
7. Does Kappy still have the same GF? The one who went out of her way to offend the Ravens by calling the owners of the team slave owners? And this after they'd offered him a nice contract.
8. Money. Sign Kappy, lose fans. Very simple equation.
Agreed 100% ..... Who's "Kappy"?

Lol, like he's in a bargaining position.

Step right up ladies and gentlemen and let's get this bidding war started for this spare quarterback that's been available for 3 years.

Did he already run through that 10 Million dollars the NFL gave him to settle his lawsuit and make him go away?

Not to mention he is currently in the middle of a lawsuit with the NFL. Could you imagine going to an interview for a job you are trying to sue for money.

Probably...........not to mention that you want quarterbacks that make good decisions.......he walked away from 14m from the numbers......not classified as a good decision.

Why does everyone have the idea he'd accept the backup QB job? He's not asking for backup QB money. He's looking to be the man somewhere.

Belichick will sign Kap to simulate Mahomes and/or Lamar for the scout team. No, he's not as good as either, but can be a reasonable facsimile for practicing against.

In 2003 Pats backup Damon Huard did the same for the Pats prior to the AFCCG vs Indy that the Pats won 24-14. For whatever reason, Huard could do a good enough Manning impression in practice, and after the game, Belichick gave Huard a game ball.

This is why Belichick is the genius and 3-4 (thousand) steps ahead of everyone else.

Big facts.
