I don't care about the effort he appears to be expending. I only care about results and his results are no longer good enough. He became a liability in the Vikings game.

Zeke had a good game *and* got results against the Eagles. 111 yards, 5.05 ypc.

Is that all that matters to you? He was the league rushing leader two of the last three seasons and now all he needs to do is have a good game against the Eagles to pacify you? No thank you. He has obviously lost his ability to consistently be the RB we need.

An off-season is heavy drinking and clubbing and hanging around women and then holding out.

This stuff will have an impact mentally. The heavy workload he’s had since college will bring some wear and tear.

1 run over 20 yards (only 27 yards, by the way) is just embarrassing.

Like I said in another thread, I don't think Skip seriously as a true Cowboys fan. He switched from always hating on the Cowboys when he was on ESPN, to now acting like he is a fan of the Cowboys. He sees that either way the Cowboys gives him the attention that he wants for his job.

While Skip is an actor, Skip was the same on ESPN. He didn’t “hate” the Cowboys, that was Stephen A.

He did flip flop on players (especially Romo) like he did in this video.

Zeke giving effort he's just not good and hasn't been for 3 years.

Having said that players have always played hard under Jason.

You're entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.

Zeke has certainly looked “good” - a bit of an exaggeration on your part to suggest he hasn’t.

I would say he was great his rookie season and in part of 2017, but 2018 showed an obvious decline and it’s apparent this year to even the fanboys

If he plays like he did against the Eagles, he's enough. I was against signing him to an extension, so you don't have to convince me he's not worth the money. But he can be effective enough for us. Run hard downhill, and he'll make short yardage and get consistent positive yardage. That's what we need out of him.

No, we need a back getting nearly 100 mill to be able to break tackles, get long runs, score, and be a threat in the passing game

He’a failing at almost all of those.

I have no interest in what he "can be". I only care about what he IS which at this point is an overpaid, underperforming RB. No thank you.

I'm done with #21 as well. He will never be again what once was and he certainly isn't worth his new contract.
Even if he's not as good as he was, he's still very good. And he's on the team, like it or not, so what does being "done" with him even mean? He isn't going anywhere. Besides, this was one game, not a pattern. At a minimum he's still a top 5 RB.

He's become a liability. Did you already forget about the Vikings game? This wasn't his first bad game this season so stop acting like it was.

He really hasn't. He has five 100 + yard games this season, and is averaging 4.4 yards per carry. How would that be a liability?

Your question about forgetting the Vikings game is odd since I specifically referenced it in the post you quoted. But, if going down that path, did you forget the Eagles game?

He's had 2 bad games out of 9. Otherwise he's been strong. Saquon Barkley has also had a couple of bad games. Would you toss him to the dumpster too?

I'll never understand fans who can only see extremes. Reality dictates that a person isn't either a star or a dud. There is a hell of a lot of area in between. So, again, even if Zeke isn't as good as he was, that doesn't somehow mean he doesn't have value.

What has done for us lately? He sucked, that's what. He's underperforming and you just refuse to see it.

Lately? Well, 2 weeks ago he shredded the Giants, and that was his 3rd of 3 consecutive 100+ yard games. It doesn't make sense to change opinions on a weekly basis. There are always going to be some bad games mixed in with the good ones, and what matters is the overall pattern and the results taken as a whole. In that context, I understand thinking Zeke may not be playing as quite as well this year, but in that context it's plain false to suggest he is a liability. He's on pace for 1,402 yards and 11 TD's, and is the lead dog for the #5 rushing offense in the NFL.

I believe he's benefited from volume and the line. When you dig into his 2018 for instance, as I did before the season began....he was quite pedestrian.

You believe what you want and I'll do the same. I'm done thinking he'll ever be as good as he once was. I'd rather see Pollard get every carry.

Dont let the door hit you in the face on the way out.
I didn't say I would stop rooting for the Cowboys. I just hope Zeke breaks a leg. I'm making plans to fly to see the Pats game and I have tickets for the Thanksgiving Day Bills game as well. I hope Pollard rushes for 100 yards each game.
