Is there a poster insightful enough to explain why Dak and Cooper are still not signed?

I'm not impressed. 5-4 anyone?

What's the big deal? Without Dak and Cooper, we're 4-5, 3-6? What's the difference? It's not like these two guys are turning our team into a Super Bowl contender.

Dak isn't in any hurry. Off field checks rival gameday checks.
Improvement in play has brought other teams to the bidding table.

Cooper needs a coaching staff that understands his personality. I am not surprised Gruden traded. Amari will probably drag it out until Garrett's future is determined. I'd tag Amari. 2 1st RD picks is fair based on play so far.

I'll offer a not-so-wild guess to suggest that Jerry & son are getting by cheaply right now and are content to delay paying the big bucks!

Getting by cheaply and having a stocked/loaded roster. Wait until we have to pay these two guys ... gonna love our roster after that. We'll be wishing we were 5-4.

Maybe but those two are two of the best on our roster. Paying them handsomely is unavoidable. Pay them now or pay them later. ;)

Shoulda let that idiot Zeke hold out all season and sign Dak and Cooper.
Zeke is low character, stupid and quickly declining. Incredibly stupid to build a team around that jackazz

Gave you like but only for the effort. Trust me when I say this, Jerry and Stephen WILL NOT franchise Dak, that's for Cooper. Dak is simply playing this thing out just in case we get to the Super Bowl. My guess, he already has an amount between Wentz and Goff on the table. Just a matter of whether or he can elevate those numbers with a Super Bowl appearance.

No way in hell we're letting Coop get anywhere near free agency and lose not just a damn good player but 1st round invested......that's why you keep the tag in your back pocket (lol).

We shall see

I honestly think Cooper really likes playing with Dak and for the Cowboys. He'll stick around at least one more year on a tag. Dak will get signed...
That’s what I thought originally. I’m not as sure anymore.

$30M, $31M, $32M, $33M - Is there really much difference when one is talking about this money? Throw in $7M in endorsements.
To some of us that is like, $30K, $31K, $32K, $33K - A couple thousand isn't going to change much. Or for those of us that are luckier $130K, $140K, etc. I am not going to try to squeeze every dollar I can out of my employer or jump ship for $10-20K extra if I am happy where I am at. Plenty of good reasons to accept a lower pay when it comes to a job.

Get enough money to live comfortably and then just focus on happiness. Still nice to get more money but stay away from being greedy to the point that it turns people off.

It's the new collective bargaining agreement that's slowing everything down. Dallas wants to sign both players to a long term contract, but the players want a shorter deal. Dak and Cooper taking a short deal means both would be up for new negotiations after the new CBA.

Players are expecting to get a bigger piece of the pie in the new CBA. That means more money in the pot for the players and larger contracts. So a young Dak and a young Cooper will still end up forcing Dallas into a larger, longer deal after the new CBA.

My opinion-
I think both guys are looking for a one year deal just to get them to the other side of the CBA.

I would bet that its more about length of contract rather than the price tag. Cowboys are going to want a long term deal to offset the high cost. Dak is going to want a shorter contract so he can get at least one more big deal in.
