You go ahead and place that bar as low as you need to. Nobody said Falk was good. But Darnold after a lay-off shouldn’t have been a threat either. But this team allowed him to be.
You’re flailing now.

Your entire point was that the Cowboys had the benefit of facing these teams when they were short-handed.

Darnold sucks but he’s better than Luke Falk. We didn’t luck out in facing Darnold rather than Falk, like you tried to imply.

I never implied anything about Falk.

We have the unique ability to make those look like Johnny Unitas on a pretty regular basis.
But lately Darnold has been seeing ghosts..

Marinelli and Richard prefer war movies.

Our defense is bipolar if I could describe it.

More good news from an on-the-field standpoint, but this team has squandered those perceived advantages time and time again anyway:
  • They faced the Saints without Drew Brees - a huge advantage - and lost
  • They faced the Jets with Sam Darnold, a young quarterback anyway, returning from a layoff - and lost
  • They faced the Vikings without their top receiver Adam Thielen - and lost
  • Now they face Detroit without their starting quarterback?
It should be a distinct advantage, but if we've learned anything, it's that this team knows how to squander opportunity.

Yes sir Garrett is working diligently on it right now and will surely neutralize any possible advantage we might have

So another top player out for opponent. I suspect Dallas will continue to not take advantage of that,in keeping things closer than it should be.

Dallas has been lucky in this regard, and failed to take advantage. We all know who is to blame.

Is the point of the regular season to be 13-3 or make the playoffs? As Zeke wisely pointed out this week, the point of the regular season is to make the playoffs. Guess what? The Cowboys are still leading their division and in control of their own destiny. Stop whining and be happy you're not a Bengals fan.
If the cowboys play sloppy and win , fans have a right to complain about it.
If they do same and lose then even more so.
The Cowboys are tied for the div not leading it lol , the win over phil means nothing till they beat them a 2nd time.
Everyone except maybe you can see the cowboys have the way tougher schedule from this point forward.
So even if they were playing good, it would be hard to win div, but the way they have played winning div is questionable.
The eagles are not doing all that good themselves, so that helps dallas. but either one could win the div, and the other one will sit at home and watch
playoffs on tv.

This is hysterical..seriously, NO without Brees, GB without Adams....MInn without Theilen....
If we lose to Det JG and the Defensive staff should be canned before the post game presser...
Season will be pretty much over at that point anyway...

I've never seen such pessimism before a game while the Cowboys are leading their division. Good job, "fans".
It’s really just a small portion of them. They’re the classic pessimists that just love to be wrong. They want to win really bad, but it’s so much easier on their delicate emotions if they hedge their feelings and prepare for a loss.

They are delicate flowers and deserve sensitivity. So please be nice to them.

I was hoping Stafford would play, now the Cowboys are probably thinking, aww we got this...

I think it is more the lions thinking "Dallas cannot prepare for an unknown player, we got this..."

We continue to be gifted by the injury bug to opponents.
I said it last week when Theilan missed his 1st game of his entire NFL career.
I'll say it again this week when NFL QB ironman Stafford is going to miss a game vs Dallas.
Take advantage!
