Imagine having the resources of the Cowboys and not sending a scout for a free look.

At a minimum you gain some information on a potential future opponent.

Pride goes before a call.
Any team could have worked out Kaepernick at any time, so it has nothing to do with resources or even interest. Maybe a few teams will truly consider Kaepernick, but for most it will just be an effort to prove they aren’t blackballing him.

Holy carp, now there's a tweet from Nessa that suggests this whole try-out process for Kaep is not fair and honest. They required his personal combine be moved to a different venue and the time has been changed. I think he might have gone completely bonkers. He has paranoid delusions. Or more likely, he's allowing Nessa to direct his life and she's the psycho.

He's a huge upgrade on cooper rush so yet again this team isn't doing its due diligence

He's been out of football for three years, he's 32 and not an upgrade over anyone.... Jerry isn't going to sign some clown that's disrespectful of law enforcement...

Where like 10 games into the season already, kinda weird to be having an open tryout (what's he gonna do, be a back-up for like 3 games of the season ? off-season would be better timing)

Anybody else think CK will take a job just as a backup ? I dont
He won’t have any choice if he wants a contract, but he may well be looking for a place where the starting QB isn’t on rock solid ground.

And a GM who isn't particularly picky about who he hires.

Imagine being naive enough to think a dude out of football for 4 years on top of being 3-16 in his last 19 games deserves a look mid season when it is simply a circus.

Posters on this board hate Jerruh when he makes moves like this Hardy, etc yet want a “free look”

Apparently, she's right. PFT is reporting the same, including that the NFL is doing this to avoid a second collusion lawsuit.

It is unlikely he can help. What is the cost in checking?

Oh so literally no downside an nothing but upside and you give that away because what exactly?

I can't see from the live video if any scouts made it to the new location? Anyone know?

Glad because he doesnt have a “rep card” people dont want his help in community

Do those people really need help then if you need a “rep card”? I always thought if you truly needed help you took it from whoever offered
I don't know why any NFL team would be interested in him he was benched multiple times by San Francisco and that's what started the entire kneeling stuff. If a team does pick him up his charity work should be raising money for fallen police officers, and he should have to go speak to the families and how they're coping without their husbands, mothers, and dads that have died so he can walk down the street without getting shot.
