Dak played great today. He had to play great because our defense is the opposite of it. Gallup and Cobb really stepped up to the plate as go to guys when Cooper having a down game. Should be an interesting week coming up!

Im not sure it’s fair to say Cooper had a down game. His snaps were limited because he was banged up, so that limited his opportunities, plus the fact the Lions committed their best DB to Cooper was part of why Cobb and Gallup were able to get open.

You have no idea if that’s true. The entire flow of the game would have been different and all the circumstances would have been different.

My hope for this season was that the offense would play better and the defense would fix what ailed them during the Rams game. Well, the offense has been a positive, but the defense looks like it's been de-railed. Patriots are gonna have a field day against this defense. It's a good thing this game was a victory. If the Patriots take care of business against the eagles, next weeks game means nothing if we lose. A victory would be sweet, but unless the defense finds its mojo, the offense is gonna have play out of this world to pull out a victory.

These small, quick defensive tackles that the old fart Marinelli covets is what kills this defense. If you don’t stuff the run and get in the quarterbacks face your team will not go anywhere.
