1 - how do you know Heath wouldn't start? That's just internet venting.

2 - Darian Thompson started 16 games for the Giants in 2017. How did he look today?

Good points.

Many ignore the cost in draft picks and salary when evaluating players. Cheap vets save you on both.

You're also right that the way to evaluate the marginal cost of an upgrade on Heath is versus the marginal improvement delivered,

The low hanging fruit was to replace Heath's snaps as *in the box* SS. Heath is best when he keeps the play in front of him, worst when he has to flip his hips and turn back upfield. In the box SSs are pretty cheap. I was surprised we didn't work harder to bring in an upgrade there. It shouldn't have been that difficult or that expensive.

Heath adds a toughness to our secondary and defense overall. He doesn't make all of the tackles, nobody does, but he does make some big plays and the dude can blitz. He's very serviceable...

In talking about Heath compared to starters, Thompson was a starter until he got hurt back in the pre-TV, leather helmet days of..... two years ago. And in Dallas Thompson isn't starting, with today's game a pretty dramatic example of the reason why.

So I'll ask again, what backs up the statement Heath wouldn't start for any other team except Muh Bad Feelz?

How about the fact that you root for one of the top generous teams in the NFL. If you dont know the track record then you are a lost cause.

How will you understand facts when you fail to see them!

I'll understand facts if you post them. But "Jeff Heath wouldn't start for any other team" is opinion, not fact.

He was great in the preseason but he played FS.

It was SS (Thompson) that was a big problem today.

I would like to see either Wilson or Josh Jones at SS next week.

Should have given the Jets two Firsts for Adams.
Hes worth it in my opinion. Especially since those two Firsts are likely going to be in the 20-25 range.

Thompson looked like a Div III College Freshman who Plays Safety first time.

Never seen someone this bad this Season on any Games i watched .

The Cowboys Need to splash in on Safety this Offseason no matter what. Its by far the weakest link on the D.
