Dak grew and improved his game. Many have been saying be patient while others wanted to kick him to the curb. We knew he had the mindset, work ethic, and leadership....now the skill, play, and understanding of the game is starting to take off. You see, all it takes is patience. Its not as simple as plucking a well seasoned QB off the vine.I know what people are gonna say:
"The offensive line gave him time to tie his shoes."
"It's the Lions. Without Stafford."
"He has so much weapons."
But still... a QB is benefitted by 4 items. A defense, a running game, an offensive line, and wide receiver.
He had only 2 of these things today... receivers and offensive line. And his #1 receiver was blanketed by Slay all day. Coop made a few plays against Slay, but for the most part Slay took him away. Take out Cooper, and our receiving corps is probably the same level as the Lions, and Dak still threw for 444 yards. His 4th of the year, need I mention. (ok... so he came 3 yards shy against the Vikings.... but that's basically a 400 yard game)
I'm in no way saying that Dak is Aaron Rodgers because of what he did in one game, but let's be serious here. He's been doing this consistently. Anyone who watched the Vikings game last week should come to expect that Dak would do the exact thing today. It's nothing new at this point. Dak has had 2 MVP type years, and in 2018 looked like someone who can completely turn himself around under the worst situations - not easy to find QBs who can do that in this league. He is setting records this year with insane numbers. Could possibly pass 5000 yards passing. You can't just take a 5000 yard year away from anyone. it's ludicruous to reason around that, and not think that only high-level players can do that.
We're so lucky to have him. Pay this man. NOW.
If Dak gets even a good 300 vs the Pats D he needs to be in the MVP discussion (and by that I mean not 100 coming from 4th quarter fruitless playing from behind yards)
Don't .............let Jerry do it.I still don’t want to pay more than 30mill. He has to give a bit to keep Cooper. Sign them both together.

Yes, may even be better than Cooper Rush.
Dak is here for the next 7 or 8 years, the next regular starter for Dallas isnt even playing high school ball yet.
He played a good game today. I won't take that away from him.
He looks like he's improving.
But his test is going to be against playoff teams.
So give him his due today. But the true test still awaits.
Some people would say joe Montana sucks if he was our QB.
it’s nauseating
But he hasn't pass the test in terms of taking this team deep into the playoffs.Test? Dak passed this test already since 2016.
Wonderful so many more years of 8-8 records isn't life Grand!!!
Stop altering the standard. You know as well as I as well as everybody on this board that we measure quarterbacks based on their ability to get to Super Bowls and win Super Bowls. Unless a quarterback stands out like Dan Marino, then quarterbacks are measured not just by getting into the playoffs but going deeper.Dak is absolutely Elite as a leader and a QB, Dak has also performed well in the payoffs!! Dak is clutch man and no matter what they throw at this kid he rises above the doubters and the hate...
Sort of like Romo. lolStop altering the standard. But it seems like we're so obsessed with proving that Dak is elite that we're willing to ignore this standard when it comes to Dak.
Dak is doing well. But the REALITY is that he's doing well, for the most part, against bad defenses.
He still needs to take this team to an NFC Championship and a Super Bowl.
Right now, he's similar to Donovan McNabb minus the NFC Championship and Super Bowl appearances.
I like his leadership and his improvement too. But I still expect more from him, as I would of any Cowboys quarterback.
We have a standard that the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions fans don't have for their quarterbacks.
Yes, like Romo.Sort of like Romo. lol
