Troy is the man. I always loved him and always will.

That being said. I always thought he was wrong about the accuracy thing. Some QB’s can improve accuracy, depending on what is causing the inaccuracy.
Throwing mechanics changes really changes it for me. Not only far more accurate he can throw from a lot of different angles now too.

We are incredibly fortunate.

Dak's accuracy has even improved from beginning of the season. His passes has been on point on the crossing routes. He threw behind the receivers much more earlier in the season.

I remember him saying you either have it or you don't lol. His tuner has changed.

lol, I was just about to post something similar. But people are allowed to change their minds. I never agreed that you either have accuracy or you don't. I think many of us knew that Dak working on footwork and mechanics would improve his.

Dak is driven and has the right work ethic. Does he have stuff he needs to work on? Sure, but I think only trolls are still spouting that "He's not a franchise QB" nonsense.

He does. But he doesn’t own it. Bill Polian went out of his way to admit he was flat out wrong on Lamar Jackson. Aikman won’t do it but it is what it is.

Same here.

He is and always will be my favorite Cowboys, but he was wrong about that comment.
I don't think he was as wrong as much as he didn't allow for the exception to the rule because I would agree with him. I've seen few QB's overcome the accuracy issue. In fact, if this continues, Prescott may be the first.

I think one thing Aikman forgot to factor in is and he's learned since then, is the exceptional person and what drives him. Everything about him is about who raised him, how she instilled confidence, not cockiness, in him. There are people that just take that loss to do something special with their lives. DeAngelo Williams was like that. Lost his Mom to the monster and fought back the only way he knew how, make her proud. He exceeded his measured talent level with an immeasurable heart, Dak has that same kind of heart.

One thing you learn quickly when Dak's former coach's are interviewed, like his high school coach, is that his Mom would not allow him not to believe in himself. I think that's what made him so hard to get out of that QB1 job when he finally got it. And I have yet to see this story duplicated where that happened at every stop in his career.

This is a pass first offense now. No need to pound the ball when the RB is averaging less than 3 yards a carry during a game.

Dak’s attitude in general is superb. He never complains, he never barks out at the media or fans when he loses, he never strikes back at criticism, he always lifts his players and coaches up, he never really throws anyone under the bus aside from Dez that one year, he’s almost always positive.
What more can you expect from not only your QB, but from a person in general? How many of us like being around negative people? Every time you hold a conversation with them they’re complaining about something.

I just consider myself lucky. If Jerry could see that Garrett is holding this franchise back we could be in for something special here.

This is news? Everybody and their dog knows Dak gets a fat contract soon, they're just haggling over length. Besides, what else is a former Cowboys QB going to say?

I don’t think money is the issue but the length of the contract. I have read where Dak’s people want 4 years so he can get another big contract and the Cowboys want more like 7 years.

I agree you have to pay him... but you have to be careful to not pay him so much that you can’t keep the rest of this team together to make a couple of runs going forward.
