The running game is not going to make any major improvements until we move Zeke closer to the line of scrimmage he doesn't have the burst to start 7 yd deep any longer.
The majority of running plays Zeke doesn't make contact until he is on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage. he used to squeeze through a gap or break a tackle and escape for a good gain. That's no longer happening.
But the rookie seems to get it done .
Chew on that.

Because its not. They would rather blame the oline rather than Zeke.

I think Zeke is the problem. He doesn't seem to hit the hole has hard and he is dancing to too much.
He had 2 carries the entire game. You saw 2 carries and formed an unbiased conclusion? Doubt it.

when a RB of Zekes caliber is dancing its only because there is no hole to run through.
Zeke is a one cut and go runner. This line has not been moving guys out of the holes which is clear to anyone who does a video analysis of the games. Try YouTube. Or this forum for some video breakdowns of the lines run blocking performance recently.

Part of me wants Zeke to have to sit out a game so everyone can watch Pollard run into the wall of defenders over and over for a game.

I hate coming off like this but the reality is anyone blaming Zeke for this running game is either an anti Zeke troll or doesn’t understand this game fully. These are the only 2 options I’m afraid.

No magical band-aid confirmed. Our OL is just not what they use to be in run blocking. The only thing that could fix it is to have Larry Allen in his prime jump into the future. It's not one single problem its the entire OL and if La'el is out a significant amount of time then we just lost the best OL in the NFL this season. Our defense is garbage we do not have a running game we can depend on. Thank goodness we have Dak and our WR corp or there would be no hope every Sunday.

our run blocking schemes have been figured out. a tweaking is required. pass blocking is supposed to be harder and we've been great protecting dak. most o-line guys say they prefer man on man blocking. that's what we need to do.

That didn't happen.

Connor Williams has 5 total penalties for the season. He had 2 penalties in the Skins game and 1 or zero in all other games.

Last week when diagnosing T. Smith’s penalties you mentioned that pancake blocks are now penalties.

Are you sure that’s accurate? I saw two that were blatant ones on them. The one where they threw the bomb to get back in the game their guy tackled D law or Bennett then raised his arms while on top of him to show the ref who was right next to the play that he hadn’t donebanything wrong.

Na it's not just him...the entire line looks lost in run blocking compared to the past few years. Frederick has been struggling as well, he's not the same player he was before his sickness.
Fredrick will never be the same. It is remarkable he is even playing. I hope he continues to regain strength. Still a very smart player, but not the dominant player we were accustomed to.

I wouldn’t say never but I expected it to take time to get his strength back and that’s hard to do during the season

Look at the whole year. If you can't see a difference in burst...…..you fall into category 000
Haha.. Now we are back to the burst nonsense you people want to peddle.
Sorry man I'm not buying stupid today.

This comment only solidifies your place in catagory 2 i'm afraid.

You don't know this game enough to form an accurate conclusion. So much of a RB's play is related to his vision and his ability to breakdown and adjust what he sees in front of him. You guys wanting Zeke to run really fast into a hole that isnt there just sound foolish.

I'm bored with this.

Think what you want. History shows you will anyway.

Notice pollards longest run is not much longer than Zeke and there avraging about the same per carry through the season. stop trolling.
right 2 carries 12 whole yards.. wow breathtaking and those Kickoff returs lol

I like Pollard but tired of fans hating on zeke to prop up Pollard.. they both are DC and Poallrd is noit better then zeke.. Pollard showed his worth in the pass game, did well Kudos but zeke did well for what he could find.. the online is struggling to open Run lanes consistently..it apparent to the media post game assessments and most fan sans the Zeke troll haters..

give it a break..

we can appreciate both of them just like Witten and Jarwin its NOT either or..jeez they are all our players and all have worth on this team/...

It depends on the specifics. A Larry Allen punch where the defender goes flying backwards and onto the ground would not be a penalty.

The more common pancake where the blocker goes to the ground with the defender is most often called as a penalty.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Video is a 30 picture per second. I would need to see the specific plays.
