I know what you mean.

He wasn't speaking literally. He was just expressing his frustration with Williams. Because, it seemed like everytime we've had a big play called back or a third down conversion called back it was because of Williams. So Williams' mistakes stick out more than others.

It's just an uninformed fan narrative.

Connor Williams and Tyron have the same number of penalties this season.

I hate to say it, but Williams isn't nearly the problem Frederick is.
Fredrick has been very average this year, but that's understandable given what he went through....Fredrick has had several bad games and his strength is not where it needs to be

It does seem like he’s been called out during broadcasts more than 5 times. I wonder if he was penalized and it was declined + how many times?

It because it's not just penalties, it's obvious issues like last week when he went to quick to the 2nd level and didn't stay on his main assignment which caused the play to fail.

Haha.. Now we are back to the burst nonsense you people want to peddle.
Sorry man I'm not buying stupid today.

This comment only solidifies your place in catagory 2 i'm afraid.

You don't know this game enough to form an accurate conclusion. So much of a RB's play is related to his vision and his ability to breakdown and adjust what he sees in front of him. You guys wanting Zeke to run really fast into a hole that isnt there just sound foolish.

I'm bored with this.

Think what you want. History shows you will anyway.
Most get bored when they're slobbering over their pet cat and refuse the obvious. Look, I like Zeke, I'm just stating he's not the same back as he was in 2016. I don't give a rats arse what the OL is doing the 2016 version of Zeke would/should have busted off some runs by now. Now, grab your Zeke blow up doll and whine at someone else.

It depends on the specifics. A Larry Allen punch where the defender goes flying backwards and onto the ground would not be a penalty.

The more common pancake where the blocker goes to the ground with the defender is most often called as a penalty.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Video is a 30 picture per second. I would need to see the specific plays.

One was on the long deep ball and I can’t remember the other one. They were laying on top of our guy.

Cowboys toted the rock for just over 3 yards/carry. Not much of a difference if you ask me. The Lions, like the Vikings, sold out to stop the run. Miraculously, the Cowboys recognized that yesterday.

This shows Connor at guard is very replaceable at the very least by a random guy we got from FA. That 2nd round pick is looking real junk right now, so many other quality players it could have went towards. Connor probably needs to end up playing a tackle spot at some point to be worth the pick.

Last week we face two stacked boxes, I haven't seen the stats from yesterday but it didn't appear that the lions did that as much either. We are just not run blocking very well and teams are not having to do much to shed off of blocks. Doesn't help that Zeke hasn't been able to escape 1 tackle this year.

So, should he be starting? Seems like the deeper into the season it goes the worse he looks.

I really didn't pay much attention. I remember Freddy and Collins missing their guy a few times but the left side of the line seemed better, I guess.

Apparently the run blocking still wasn't there, which the whole line is responsible for. How did XSF play yesterday?

His pass blocking was better than I expected it to be. If he keeps that up, then he should start ahead of Williams because he's stronger at the point of attack in the run game than Williams, even if we didn't see better results from the running game against Detroit.

This week should be a good challenge for him in pass protection, so we'll see how he does.

There it is folks.
You have no idea what you are watching. Maybe spend a little time learning about the game before shooting your mouth off around fans that do.

The rest of your post was just typical elementary school childish stuff someone says when they are still in a conversation they should have left a while ago.

So you're not bored, just wrong, I have more football knowledge in my left jewel than you'll ever acquire. Now I'm done with you, go play.

Just a note, the Lions the worst in the league pressuring the QB. I believe the stat I saw is the get pressure on only 19% of drop backs. If pass blocking was good, its because every team in the entire league blocks the Lions well. How did the OL do? The answer is the Cowboys rushed for a total of 75 yards on 24 carries or 3.1 yards /carry against a team that gives up 124 yard a game on the ground or 4.5 yards/carry. The longest run was 9 yards and that was Dak Prescott.

I'd say there was no improvement in the running game at all.

He was really good in pass protection. PFF gave him a 90.1 in pass protection..........a score Connor Williams can only dream about. He scored 60.1 in run blocking which is better than Connor usually scores.

Na it's not just him...the entire line looks lost in run blocking compared to the past few years. Frederick has been struggling as well, he's not the same player he was before his sickness.
teams are running delayed run blitzes. They are not selling out to fill gaps until zeke commits which works against the zone run plays Dallas runs. They need to work in some man blocking also.

He played well. Sorry if that disappoints you.
Yes he played well but against the type DL he excels at big and heavy. If we could take Williams and XSF and combine them into one guy that would be awesome where XSF excels, Williams sucks and vice versa.
