I feel bad for him, can game or two off fix this? we may need him for the biggest games but to what detriment? are we going to pay this guy but like Dez letting him play through a myriad of lower body injuries', will he be the next Dez to get paid and fall off the cliff because of how hes being played with the injuries'? hes in contract year and will do everything he can to play and earn more BUT...

im a bit concerned we arent getting the entire story..

You didn't hear this from me, but I heard they're keeping him ripe for the Pats game :omg:. Shhh...

Nah but seriously I think he's fine. He's injured and still producing well. Vikes game was proof of that. I think they're trying to be easy on him, which is the best thing to do in this situation right now. He was covered a lot in the Lions game (obviously), but it opened up our other receivers. Even when injured, they double him, so I wouldn't worry about him too much.

Good thread.....exactly what are his injuries. I was actually thinking about this last night. Are they simply week-to-week issues that will only get better with rest? I know it's way too early to think about it but if we can get the division locked couple games before the season ends, I'm shutting him down. I remember Michael Irvin said he told him he didn't need like 12-15 targets a game like some receivers. He knows he'll be open so 8-10 targets are good enough. I believe him.....the dude is money in the bank.

Amari is still one of the most productive receivers in the entire league.

He is banged up. I’m sure he is in pain.

But c’mon
I didnt say it was a bad trade or hes not laying well.. I worry he is dong all he can to get paid, fighting through injuries' and his new deal Like Dez might never be what we thought because of these injuries.. the guys wants 18+ mil so thats my point..

There's no way he's fine, he only played 40 (56%) of snaps. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...c-playoff-race-eight-good-teams-six-spots#dal

He was over 80% in the previous 3 games.

Im not accusing you of saying it’s a bad trade.

Making the leap from Amari being a little banged up, meanwhile still producing at a high level. To worrying that if he gets paid, he will fall off and not be the same.

that’s quite a gap. And let’s remember that Dez’s injuries were more severe than Amari’s and they are two completely different players.

Yes Amari is banged up and hurt right now. But there has been nothing to indicate that they are injuries that we have to worry about for the future at this point. It’s not like he has blown out an ACL or Achilles or something like that.

He hasn’t finished a game since seemingly before the bye. I hope the guy makes it to the end.

Not even close to Dez. He knows how to run routes.

big money vs injury, ys they can end up the same READ..jeez I said you pay this dude a big contract he wants when he gimps through this year in contract year..over the next 3 years how much time does he miss, his production can falloff a cliff.. he doesnt have one lower leg injury he has 3 and a foot injury..he barely made it though one snap in one game then a handful this game..

so what happens when hes not as motivated when he gets paid to play when gimpy? think? the situations are very much the same, Dez tore this league up for 3 years and some of a few others , he was elite and dominate then just fell off not long after his deal..think? read,,, I wasn't comparing their skillset but no way Dez was scrub..

Cooper is nothing like the horrid Dez. Dez couldn't run routes and eventually became useless when he lost a step and we had a QB that wouldn't throw to a guy that is always covered.

He's always seems banged up. Most games he's still scoring or catching for first downs though.

They aren’t going to let us know exactly what or where the injuries are. Opposing teams will target the area when tackling him..
