Yeah, they joked about the "doctor's curse" (or something like that) on Talking Dead last night. They had Chandler Riggs on the show in an obvious PR effort.

The story telling was very good... Much improved.
The big dark spot for me was how the season ended... The "stupidity sequence" that resulted at the end with the cave caused me to give a massive eye-roll.

Terrible story telling continues to tell bad story badly.
Unless the 2nd half of the season has massive improvements, I'm officially done after the finale.
The Whisperers are the most cartoonish, eye-rolling nonsense this show has seen, and that's saying a lot.

No doubt the majority of viewers watched Carol take off after Alpha and knew it was going to be some sort of trap.
And then like a Benny Hill comedy skit– All the other folks out there with Carol take off after her.
You just knew it was going to be a cluster. Ugh.
At the conclusion of the episode I kept waiting for the "Next week! Same Bat Time! Same Bat Channel!"

had to dig back in time for this one.
so far, 2 shows into this season, and i'm ready to go look at the flowers and people do what they need to do to me.
naked negan and alpha making out
acres of zombies shoved into a cave you can hop across and no one can find a way out of a cave that they can shove acres of zombies into dozen of feet
"blood covered eyes" with some of the worst effects to illustrate that fact i've ever seen. no one would think to rub the blood away, just keep flailing around
priest gone ballistic
again we kill beta but don't kill him and no one bothers to make sure he's dead
alpha sounding like scarlett o'hara on mushrooms and too much cough syrup
and for the love of god, how long does it take michonne to boat someone out to an island?
they've screwed up negan and made him alphas bch (at least for now) and killed any real potential out of that story line
seems others have let it go and i need to get in line with it. at least this time i didn't realize i hadn't seen it til last night and flipped through it.

The writers are killing what's left of the show.

yea, the fact i had to dig told me quite a bit about where it sits anymore.
it had some promise when rick left to redo the story but they're simply lost. it says a lot i didn't know til wed i'd not seen it since the previous sunday.

I just watched the last two episodes Monday night this week. Forgot it was even coming back. I should have kept it that way.
These 'near misses' with key characters repeatedly escaping certain death are just insulting. Bush league writing and taking suspension of disbelief to ridiculous levels. This show is lost.

yea. i would have to agree. this is the 2nd time they killed beta but no one ever makes sure he's actually dead. judith shoulda put a bullet in his head as she walked away and been done with it. the dude just came in and zombied many of their neighbors.
still can't get over how 10 acres of zombies fits into a small cave no one can easily get in and out of.

It's just all kinda of stupid at this point. It takes longer to talk about the gaping plot holes and leaps in logic than it does to watch the damn thing.
As a viewer, I'm insulted that they have such little respect for the audience that they expect me to simply believe this bull****.
The premise is one thing, this uninteresting, decompressed storytelling crap? It's pathetic. It's clear that the true talent was writing the comics and once that well went dry, they were done.

yea, same premise when it started but done very well. now it's just impossible escape after impossible escape.
if michonne has to carry a dead judith out to the water through the villages on fire and dump her dead body off a boat into the ocean during the height of a hurricane so she can run away and become a lumberjack in the pacific NW they take the title for most BS in a series.

It's awful.
It was bad enough when they had that one ridiculous encounter between Negan and Rick awhile back. Crazy to think that they would somehow meet and have a confrontation and both would somehow walk away from it. Now they decided to do it on a weekly basis. Insulting garbage storytelling.
