Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Colorado
Height: 6-2. Weight: 220.

i take this kid in first round

He seems like a TE/Slot WR not a outside WR... not to mention his vertical (at least on video) is not that good. But if we loose Cooper id take a flyer on him in Rd2.

I mentioned in the Mock Draft thread that I like Shenault a lot (since on the west coast I see lots of Colorado). But how will he fit in with our WRs?

He's got thick powerful legs with speed.
I honestly think he could be a RB

I got a young Dez Bryant vibe from him.

Big WR, loves contact, can make high point grabs, tough to bring down. Very good athlete.

WR is a strength of this class. Shenault is one of the best of the bunch. He would be a steal and cheaper than giving up a ton of money to Cooper.

For one, two totally different players. For another, Cooper is our best WR. Yeah, he has his issues at times but I am not sure removing him for a rookie is a wise move.

Shenault is a physical guy. He runs good routes. I don't think Cooper deserves Julio, Nuke,Thomas money. I would be willing to remove him for a rookie. The next two drafts are loaded at wr. I personally am not high on Cooper and would rather take advantage of what the draft class presents itself.

Not nearly the caliber of Cooper but great talent. Cooper is next tier with route running that is sublime.

This is just kind of distanced from the reality of this team. Every organization would prefer to replace high-priced talent with rookies. But rookie WRs, no matter how talented, are extremely hit or miss. There would be a huge drop off from Cooper to any rookie you put out there, and we saw how this offense works without a #1 like Coop. This team is built to win right now, so you can't take that hit in talent.

Having said that, I'd still go WR in the first round, though I like Reagor, maybe Ruggs, for this offense.

Ruggs would potentially be our big play receiver. See him as the next Tyreek Hill without the baggage.

In some sense, yea. I think Reagor has a lot more Hill to his game than Ruggs, who is more of Ted Ginn type...which is why I like Reagor a lot more lol.

I'll take your word on that as I don't watch TCU outside of a bowl game.

Just feel Ruggs should have a better impact than Ginn in the NFL.

You willing to throw away a season then?

Because this team will not be as good next year with a rookie replacing Cooper.

I just don't know man. I have never been a big Cooper guy going back to Alabama. Don't like his demeanor, his tendency to disappear, and check out for stretches at a time. The Raiders need wide outs and they took a first that turned into Josh Jacob's. I bring back Cobb for cheaper, I have Gallup and a rookie. Not have to push into the wr salary territory that Cooper isn't in I do that. He's still the same old Amari Cooper that I have been meh to his entire career. Now he's a Cowboys player and people stomach the softer than Charmin disposition.

well i think Cooper is hurt -

Gallup had his drops to many to be number one

i would not be surprised if WR is not a good pick
