True blue was my first experience, with nfl forum, it was nice to be able to talk
with others about cowboys and hear what they say.

Agree, remember right before closing down her husband died and she would not post as often and I remember giving her my condolences.

Use to be on the cowboys forum on the main site. Then I joined here around 2006.

Best forum. Has it's ups and downs. The best times to be on here was around 06-11(round off). Was super fun, bunch of heated debates.

We had great debates, heated but controlled arguments, even with the Mods. Everyone had different opinions and it was ok. You had a few like the self proclaimed "Troll Slayer", who would try to chase anyone off who didn't agree with him or wasn't completely all for anything the cowboys do.

Now it's a lot different, have to watch what you say and how you say it. People run to the mods, they cry more.

Back then you could go at it for days, and nobody would take it personal, squash it and find something to agree on later.

There was one reply of "This is a family friendly sight A-hole" and the reply has a finishing move pic above it. It ust is something you dont easily forget. LOL

I remember that! I lol'ed so hard that day. I couldn't believe it, because as you said, the guy doing the posting just didn't seem the type. Good times...I guess.

Pretty sure that is the one that I used to be on. Is that the one that just went to complete crap after it got sold off and went to 247 sports or something like that? It went from active with people to a thread bot paradise! Oh well, that lead to me finding this place.

Back to topic, I've only been here since 2016 (just checked). Crazy, feels like a little longer than that. Great forum. I hit this place about every single day. I enjoy the Cowboys chatter plus I like to frequent the Off-Topic area and chat about random things with people. Mix it up.

It's been nice "meeting" new people on here. I used to frequent a board called NFL-Fans for years. It was just a mix of different team fans. After 5 or so years it turned into Armchair Quarterbacks and then eventually dissolved, which was too bad, as I met a lot of great people on that board and had some fun years there. It feels like Facebook has ruined a lot of forums over the years, so, I'm happy to see this place alive and well. I enjoy visiting and reading here.

The worst thing that ever happened to this board was Jerry shutting down the cowboy football forum 2 years ago. You guys were swamped with refugees with poor attitudes. The bar to join this thing is too low. Thats how you ended up with me. :grin:

I first joined in 2008 along with DC.com official Cowboys site under a different email and screen name greggtxsports . I mainly looked in. I was new to social media , the internet and site wasn’t as friendly to me nor as busy. Then my email got hacked and couldn’t get back in.

I didn’t come back until 3 years ago when that site was shut down. This is by far a much better site and managed well. None of the issues we had over there. And traffic appears to have picked up here since we all came over.

looks like I joined in 2005. Like many, I rarely have time to engage and post, but always enjoy reading some of the stuff. I know of at least one active player who says he occasionally peeks in and vultures over the board...how often I can't say.

Anyone remember the poster "Latunanostra"? Im pretty certain he/she was either related to Parcells or President of his fan club.

Latuna is a she and she was a mod here once upon a time. Her posts actually convinced me to start posting way back when.

She was a big Parcells fan, but she was way more of a Terry Glenn fan than Parcells.
