This defense has been gut shot since the Ram playoff game last year. Have shown no ability to make adjustments in game or on the fly. Not to mention head scratching square peg/ round hole personnel decisions like Trysten Hill as one tech or not getting Lewis a playmaker on the field sooner.

He may be strapped by Marinelli's outdated scheme.

However, if he goes, I will not complain about it. Even though I prefer there entire defensive staff goes.

I know Lett may be a fan favorite, but he sure hasn't helped develop any DT's either.

He definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but I will have to give him credit for one thing. Moving Byron J. from safety to corner. Dude absolutely sucked at safety.
Quick fact. The secondary was better in 2017 than in 2018 even though byron played better. Byron sucks btw.

It's a defense designed to play with a lead. The defense is barely in position to play with a lead. The results are self evident.

What percent of this teams resources do you think are going into defense versus offense? I think they're doing an admirable job given the situation.

Teams that have a defensive persona, actually invest in defense thoroughly. Our defensive line is a joke.

I think I'd prefer Matt Eberflus to Richard if Jerry could tempt him to leave the Colts. He might be more inclined to make desirable changes than Richard. The catch there is whether or not Jerry could tempt him to leave the Colts and come to join the Cowboys. A substantial raise, perhaps?
The possibilities abound.

Agreed. The way they stopped the run last year was crazy for not having a real investment at DT

Richard, Gus Bradley, and Dan Quinn are all from the Seahawks/Pete Carroll tree living off of the talent that was on those defenses. Reminds me of the 1990s Cowboys with Wannstedt, Butch Davis and Campo.

Time to clean house. Fire Rod. Fire Richard. Fire O’Quinn or whoever that ST coordinator is. Fire Gary Brown. And Fire Jason Garrett.

JJ needs to have a hiring event on the offseason.

With a quite significant extent of help and advice coming from Will McClay! ;)
