Tom [Giants Fan] has been here since the very beginning. Can’t remember if I’ve seen him recently.

Pittman4Two was gone for a bit but has been back in recent seasons.

I think I first came here when one of my friends recommended a Cowboys forum to me when I was first getting into watching football. Awesome gift for someone living in Eagles country. I want to say 2003? 2004? Dial up was definitely still a thing.

Shoutout to Hostile who posted frequent Cowboys historical facts and got me hooked on the game. Really long posts before games going over all time records and notable matchups from the past. I hope he’s doing well.

I was a long time lurker on this board but can't remember when I first joined and can't remember what my original user name was. I know that I suddenly couldn't log in because my Verizon email was no longer valid so I had to create a new account. I created the current one when I was blasted one night obviously. I used to be on those old USENET groups and back then we were debating the quality of Quincy Carter. I was arguing for his potential, so it shows what I know.

I thought this board formed because the DMN board went bat**** crazy. Actually, though, the early version of that board was one of the best I ever saw. A lot of people even used their real names. Some met eachother in real life, though that later led to issues.
I started at the dmn site, then to the ranch, and now i am here. Since 2005

I go way back to the beginning. So many memories coming back with the names being mentioned.
I remember the GROZ (Get Rid of Zimmer) movement. I remember reading interesting discussions with RobPettisDad (the guy was actually the dad of the offensive lineman Rob Pettiti). He provided good information for awhile but I'm sure grew weary of people ripping on his son.
Of course I have to mention Good Morning, Pops. RIP.
Remember rob pettiti dad getting a lot of greif back in the day

Hostile still posts every now and then. And his leaving didn’t actually have anything at all to do with Garrett. He was a big fan, though, as you say.

Yep Hos is probably the most well known member and went on to start another board and a lot of posters from here are there now. He’s knowledgeable and passionate and much like all of us has a life long connection to the team. I respect the commitment and passion Hostile and many others all have but it’s that same passion that can lead to personal hit jobs and hard feelings. it can be tough in here sometimes.

Also if there’s a Mount Rushmore AdamTJ3 is on it for his cap and analytics knowledge. I sometimes wonder if he doesn’t actually work with the team.

This place was never so lively as it was during Tony’s career. I (like many others) were so emotionally invested in him and I think there is still a void now that he’s gone. To go from Quincy and oblivion to the Romocoaster was so exhilarating and maddening. His threads still run over 100. I see that same emotional investment by some posters with Dak but again, be all in on something in life. If it’s the Cowboys and Dak good for you. So many people just exist without a passion for anything and although age will mellow you I remember what I was like in my 20’s. Its fun to see posters so fired up same way. I know they are the ones taking over stadiums now like we did in the 90’s.

Finally I remember sparring with Gimmee over Romo countless times. He would drive me crazy until one day he PM’d me and we had a nice laugh over our battles and both agreed we would have each other’s back if we were ever in a skirmish in Philly together.

That’s what’s great. At the end of the day, we’re all in the same foxhole together.
