Dude has a cyst on his brain that has impacted him during games. I'm not a doc, so maybe this can be treated in some ways, but that to me is a pretty big issue. I don't think it is life threatening, but the dude was on his knees during one game last year due to it.

Rub some dirt on it.

Blokes, wayward boys, wards of the courts and contractors, let me count the ways why it will be Meyer.

1. When Jerry let it slip a Meyer kind of guy was needed, Meyer was profuse in complementing Jerry and the franchise.
2. Meyer is retired, no permission slips needed from owners or colleges.
3. Meyer is a "name" a high-profile kind of gernius Jerry would want.
4. Urban Meyer could be seen as a gruff, no-nonsense HC players would not want to cross.
5. Meyer wants to get back into football in a big way (Dallas).

Now, ruffians, how can Jerry resist a well-known, high-profile coach like this?

The big question is cash UM make the leap from college to NFL?
Who cares? Me thinks Jerry's mind is made up.
Meyer in 2020
Not to mention he has pretty good history with Zeke who you just paid 90 million.

We he was at Florida, he did a segment on ESPN saying how much pressure the coaching job is. Imagine the pressure he would have being under Jerry and tolerating Jerry's kids.

I mean he may return to coaching, and like I said I am no doctor, but I imagine his health problems coupled with how crazy it can get here in Dallas when things go wrong - I hope he stays away. Just not worth it for his long term health.

If he returns, just return to college football where he knows he can have success and the fandom loves him.

The next head coaching decision should be made by Stephen not Jerry.

But it will be Jerry, no doubt.

You'll get Jay Gruden and like it.

No wonder he and Zeke got along until Zeke threw him under the bus. This is one reason I have hopes that Urban would get along with Jerry, I think he’s a great coach but neither have any morals and would start Hitler at QB and Satan at LB if that’s what it took to win. Make no mistake, Urban is one of the slimiest coaches out there, he and Jerry could slither around together on the sidelines. I’m starting to rethink my position already, there’s a lot I forgot about.

The articles go on and on but I’m starting to get nauseous reading them. I take back what I said, screw Meyer. I can’t believe everything I forgot about him.

I'm just laughing about "he and Jerry could slither around together on the sidelines.." A little too long but I would make that my user name if I could. Maybe "Me and Jerry slithering on the sidelines"? Still a little too long.

We win the east at 9-7 or 8-8. Get bounced in the first round. Garrett gets another 3 year contract. Business as usual in Jerry’s circus.

Thats my fear. I think if we get blown out on turkey day and have more coaching mishaps Garrett is gone by monday. lol So its sad to say this but i rather us lose. I hate Garrett and this staff that much. I can't believe we stuck with garrett so long and paying him that much.

To clarify, jolly good times ...

I, Gimmie, doesn't think UM is a good NFL prospect.
College to NFL is a big leap. Even Jerry would see that, yet ...
UM's health, his learning curve. UM's forced work with our GM?

That's such a bad idea ....
Jerry is bound to take that deal!

Hollah and brings me a dollah!

I feel like slapping you.
Rail! Insult and smirch thy heroes the Cowboys and scold them. But dont ever --- EVER! --- want the loss. (Except, well, for strategic season-ending, ahem ... )
You're a good lad, alas.

Agree on these points. Do like that it sounds like won't be a whole new system for Dak. I personally wouldn't mind keeping Moore honestly. Would be interesting to see what the offense would look like without handcuffs given that it is producing a lot of yards and points already.

Do wonder if he can make the jump to the NFL. That would be my biggest question. Also would have to interview folks so will be interesting to see who else they interview.
Does it matter?
Old boy, old street chap, Jerry follows his own will. Stephen is like, uh, waiting to take up the slack for an aging father.
But jerry prevails at least through the 2020 season.

I know Urban threw his phone line open for Jerry,so you got to think they’ll at least have a conversation. But Jerry does have a penchant for putting in no name HCs. Gailey,Campo,Wade,Garrett....

I’d rather have someone else (Riley, Harbaugh, Roman), but Meyer is better than Garrett so let’s give em a shot!
Harbaugh’s reputation didn’t take a hit as much as it solidified on one core principle — he can’t win the big game. As an NFL quarterback, an NFL coach, and NFL coach, Jim always manages come up just short in the biggest games. Have no explanation why — but the pattern is unmistakable.
Jim Harbaugh’s reputation takes a bighit with a big …
