..... what can we honestly expect to happen?

Honest question..... If this team loses today to the Bills what can we realistically expect to happen. I wish I could say with 100% confidence that JG would be fired.... However based on past years I see JG getting more lives than a cat.

Don’t get me wrong I am cheering for win... however while I’m hoping for the best I’m expecting the worst.

So.... If Cowboys lose today because of more horrendous coaching decisions, does JG get fired over the weekend?

Yes or no?

Just curious everyone’s thoughts and opinions......

I don't think he would be but I certainly can't rule it out. If he is, I'd point to the Giants report as the real motivating factor to fire him in season. I'd have to believe that really pissed Jerry off otherwise I don't think he'd get rid of Garrett at 6-6 and the division title still at stake.

At the end of the day I don't care. Man a lifeboat because this ship is sinking no matter who is Captain.

Enough already.

No, Garrett is not going to get fired if we lose today. We will still have the lead in the division. We still face the Eagles a second time. The Commanders and Giants are out of the hunt. Garrett will be here until the end of the season.

Unfortunately I think you nailed it ..., JJ will still see a light at the of the tunnel with the division title still a goal....

And JG lives to coach another day.... sadly

Another sheep thread. Follow the leader.

Asking other cowboys fans to help inform you and then base your opinion off that .

Does anyone think for themselves anymore?

Probably right unless Jerry believes Garrett's the one behind the Giants report and he sees it as a sign of disloyalty.

If Jerry will get rid of a two time defending champion coach because of loyalty issues then Jason Garrett sure isn't safe.

Jerry would be correct here. You don't make a coaching change when you have a division lead at this point. We can hate Garrett all we want, the simple fact is, he has got us into a position to secure a playoff spot.

Garrett will be judged how he does in the playoffs this year (he's 100% gone if we don't make it, of course)

It is getting to the point where I think the team being unbeaten in the division does not factor with more people each day. Unfortunately, I doubt Jerry Jones has lowered his opinion of the fact in similar fashion.

If they lose to the Bills, which is a very realistic outcome, I’ll be just as dumbfounded at this team as I am right now. Nothing will change.

Not at all.... I don’t live in Dallas and I really don’t have access Dallas sports radio ... just trying to gauge what the majority of the fan base feels.

Personally as much as I want JG gone I don’t think JJ fires him.

Since I’m surrounded by tons of Steelers and Eagles fans it’s kind of hard to have serious discussions with them about this team..

No harm in asking.....

Absolutely true. However, these are different circumstances. Garrett does not threaten Jones' sense of importance like Johnson did. Plus, this is currently midseason instead of early spring when Jones terminated his partnership with Johnson.

If we lose today, we can even lose another regular season game after that and still win the division by beating the Eagles.

A loss in Philly, and Garrett's gone. A win in Philly keeps him alive pending playoff results. And they need to be very good results.

I seriously doubt that Jones will fire Garrett during the season when they Cowboys have the lead or the tie breaker if tied. and if the Cowboys fall a game behind the eagles with the 2nd eagles game yet to be played that a win there would give the Cowboys the lead in the division would be unlikely.
