How close are you from walking away as a fan?

I barely care and gave up my tickets a year ago.

A real change in the organization a la 2003 would be enough to bring me back to the fan I was. More of the same will make me care a little less.

It's very discouraging being a Cowboy fan anymore. Back in the Landry years and the 1990's I lived and breathed Cowboys. It's not the same for me anymore. All I do is complain mainly because there have been very little positive with this team this century. I'll probably always be a fan but Jerry has sucked the fun out of it for me. I just remember the good times and I had plenty. So very sorry for the younger fans that don't even have that.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I have walked away from the TV more then I ever have this season
This is seriously the first season where I have not cared.

I have been a Cowboys fan all of my life. Either watching the game, listening on the radio, whatever, I have completely missed perhaps five or so games in my life and had to catch up after the fact.

Two times were for birth of children. Two were deaths in my immediate family and once was for my son's first birthday celebration.

Even in the bad years with Campo etc., I watching most of them, if only for anger's sake.
This year I have missed parts of three games, including the entire first half of the Vikings game. In the past I would have lost it. Find a sports bar somewhere when on vacation, watch on my phone, whatever.

This year is different. At no time did I have anxiety.

I just don't like what this organization stands for and the team itself, with their collective arrogance and underachievement, has made it easier to step away.

Won't walk away but may threaten to if Garrett is extended. But will be back. However if Garrett is extended, my interest will be down, as well as how much time I spend on reading everything and keeping an eye on TC and the draft, FA. I can find other things to do.

So I say for now.

I’m a fan for life. We all want more out of our team, but anyone who thinks the Super Bowl is always the only reason for being a fan will never be happy. I still enjoy watching the games, even when we lose. If the game yesterday ruined someone’s Thanksgiving, then someone has a serious reality problem.
I'll second this with the caveat that I enjoy watching even the games we lose WHEN WE AT LEAST LOOK LIKE WE'RE MAKING AN EFFORT TO WIN. I haven't seen much of that this season but I've been a Boys fan for over 40 years and I don't think I could switch allegiances even if I tried. I know because I live in Seattle where it's constant Seahawks chatter in my face and I can't find it in myself to root for them even though I like and respect Russell Wilson.

I can't walk away. I'm not one of those people to root for another team because mine sucks. But yes, it's frustrating. I thought this year could be special. Really after the Green Bay loss I knew this was the same old Cowboys. A few thoughts:

1) Jason Garrett has to go. It's insane that Jerry Jones can keep Garrett around and couldn't keep Jimmy Johnson-who won two Super Bowls. I really do think Garrett is gone unless this team gets past the divisional round. I think Jerry is starting to wake up. I turned the game off and left early to drive us to the in-laws. I listened to the postgame show. All I heard was the same crap we have been hearing for years. "Execution. All three phases. Look at the time. We will rebound." I'm sick of it. In all honesty, I'd rather Garrett just finish this miserable season. I'm not a big Richard fan. I wouldn't want to make a decision based off of 4-6 games. I'd rather Jerry hire a proven Head Coach not a coordinator.
2) That being said, this front office has to make some decisions on this roster. Our OLine takes up way too much of the salary cap. I think you have to make some moves there. It's one thing if they are the clear cut best OLine but they aren't. They have been getting killed against good defenses. Defense needs to be retooled. It's time to let Lee and Witten both retire. Secondary has to be addressed. How long has the secondary been terrible?? For at least a decade. Stop drafting DTs and start investing in your secondary. Look at New England. This defense has to get a game changer. (Jamal Adams)
I think Dallas finishes 7-9. I agree with Jesse Holley. This team has quit Monday-Friday and they just show up on Gameday. I'm a fan and I get sick of Garrett's same message. I can't imagine how a player feels.

I'll always be a fan, but l can't say l'm going to change my schedule around anymore just to watch this mess of a team. If Jerry doesn't want to change, I will just stop watching. My time is too valuable now days to waste 3 1/2 hours a week on this...

Have been a fan since pert near the beginning. I'm a fan of a good football game played by professionals who act like they are professionals.

Majority of these entitled tools are hard to take seriously. Run the ball, catch the ball, get yo damn azz back to the huddle. Geez. The antics and immaturity are embarrassing.

Still a fan.

Go Cowboys!

My thoughts exactly. No more listening to the Fan during the week or the pregame/postgame shows. No more reading articles. No more buying their preseason magazines. No more merchandise. It's sickening if they keep him.

I don't walk away. Cowboys is something I enjoyed with my dad when he was still alive. I may not enjoy the games as much, may never go see them live again, may never buy another piece of merchandise, but I will always be a fan.

I won't. I will lay off of buying merch and watching games but will never stop being a fan
I won’t buy any merchandise, pay to see a game or even wear my Cowboys gear until something changes. Other than that I will always be a Cowboy fan. I feel really bad for everyone who paid good money to go to the game yesterday. Who would still pay to see a game?
