How close are you from walking away as a fan?

I’m a fan for life. We all want more out of our team, but anyone who thinks the Super Bowl is always the only reason for being a fan will never be happy. I still enjoy watching the games, even when we lose. If the game yesterday ruined someone’s Thanksgiving, then someone has a serious reality problem.
I've been a Dallas fan since 2001. We've only won three playoff games in that span. My life has zero impact on it. This is just a hobby that I really enjoy. I enjoy football season no matter what. Dallas isn't a Super Bowl contender and I think this postseason will be the deepest in a long time. I can't wait!

Already there as of a few years ago. Sad but true. Thanks, Jerry and Jason.

A comprehensive coaching change might bring me back, or I might be too far gone at this point.

But it's okay. I enjoy the rest of the league more than ever, and that's more than made up for my loss of interest in Cowboys wins.

I’ve already enjoyed the SuperBowl winning teams in the past so this is just icing on the cake if they win another. Sucks for the youngins that can only watch reruns of it. Plus, I wouldn’t dream of quitting on this team and not be able to torment some of the brethren here, Lol

I became a fan not seeing any Superbowls from this team. I have nothing to compare to. Yes it's disappointing but it's familiar territory. That said I care much less about seeing every game. And losses don't upset me like they used to.

In December of 1989 I sat in the frigid Meadowlands to see the 1-13 Cowboys go 1-14. I don't think there is another team out there for me. Of course Jerry is associated with all the low points of my fandom. The 70s were glorious as was the brief Jimmy era once it got going.

Football is a cycle of good years and bad years, that’s what parity is supposed to do. If you can’t handle that, then you were never really into the sport to begin with
We’ve had good years? Since when? My definition of “good” is at least an NFC championship or multiple playoff wins and those have been few and far between.

I won’t walk away. However, they have lost my attention. I’ll start paying them the attention they deserve when they become deserving of respect. This team right now does not deserve respect. I’m not going to respect a team that half arses their games and sees winning as a mere bonus rather than a goal. I’m not going to respect a team that has a bunch of punks that are content with losing and being mocked in the locker room.

I will band wagon on other teams though, that’s for sure. I’m a Ravens bandwagon right now, actually. They actually care.

The moment I'm not a cowboys fan, i would automatically admit defeat (most of my family are eagles fans). My dad has been trying to recruit me for years. Can't do it lol. I'll continue to deal with the snarky "how about them cowboys" comments after a loss until I'm old. Funny thing is most people say cowboys fans are obnoxious. I'm not, but if they win the Superbowl again I will be unbearable after all these years of jokes.
