if he does indeed let Garrett go down with the ship...I think he goes back to the template that produced 3 Super Bowls.....a college coach with no previous NFL experience who won a national title.
or at least college coach who won a national title.
•Urban Meyer
•Nick Saban
•Bob Stoops

we'll see.
in the meantime...BEAT chicago.

I felt like it could be Belicheck also because that story about him asking JJ for a job didn't just appear out of nowhere and this could be Brady's last year with the Pats. If Bill came here and brought this team back to winning super bowls it would definitely stamp him as the goat because he would have won without Brady.

Bill would look at the roster and think that the only thing needed is a culture change and a coaching advantage on game day because player to player our roster is better than theirs.

If JJ made this happen he would get the fan base and media off his back because i don't believe that he would hire a high profile coach due to JJ wanting the credit for winning.

He has no deal in place for 2020.
Tom Brady signed a 2 yr extension for 2019 and 2020 with 2020 voidable
Mcdaniels stayed for a reason last yr
Recent yrs Kraft, Belichick, Brady relationship has been bad

I just think he's gone from NE after this yr. Then again he could just retire

I think this is wishful thinking, at best. Logically speaking, I don't see any possible way that he would leave an organization that's been the premiere ran organization to come to Dallas' dysfunction. But I won't knock anyone's hope.

That’s your recap? I was driving and not really trying to take notes, but I’m fairly sure that’s not what he said :p
Re: Garrett and Maher, he didn’t strongly comment either way but he understood the idea of keeping both at this point. Let Garrett finish this out, and as far as kicker goes he said there’s “nothing out there”.
They asked Broaddus if there should be any limits on the coaching search and he agreed with them that there shouldn’t be, that you reach out to find any coach you’re interested in’s situation, even the guy in New England.
He described the Cowboys as “awful” in the Campo years (when he was there). Talked about Jerry and the Parcells hire, citing the well known “build a stadium” effect Jerry was trying to achieve.
He seemed to pass on really blasting the coaching overall, probably felt he said enough last night. Also said Cowboys just flat out got beat yesterday, no smoking gun pointed at any one player or coach.
That all I got...

is there link to what he said last night?

No, but I was also listening... after the game he was a little less diplomatic, saying that he had thought Garrett should have been fired a while back. He seemed to dial it back a bit today.

It is wishful thinking, I dont think he like the way Kraft made him trade Garaoppolo because Brady wanted him traded. The Patriots are only a premier organization due to Bill and Tom after those two leave the will go back to being the unimportant team they were before. The Cowboys are still the Cowboys and to bring this dysfunctional organization back to prominence would be just what Bill would look for to soothe his ego.

It is wishful thinking, but if you think about it, who would've thought Parcells would've coached Dallas? That came out of nowhere.

But on the reality part of my brain i think Meyer will be coaching next yr.

He did have a comment where he added “I can say that now that I’m no longer in the building” but even with that I don’t think he said anything particularly incendiary. There is a sort of “unchained” vibe to him now that I’ve noticed though.

And all last night on the post game show, he put it on players EXECUTION.

Why doesn’t anyone ever mention Dabo Sweeney? Young, successful as a 2 time national champion. Doesn’t have a demanding personality but more of a awe shucks type. Has mentioned in the past he’s be open to the NFL.

Dabo could be an option IMO. He had Watson far more prepared for the NFL than people realized at the time

Well..my half-*** recap:
Bryan stated:
- Says that changing coaches now would just cause more issues. If Richard jumps into the HC seat and the players perform a little better and get excited about Richard, it will make it an issue of getting players onboard for another Coach in the off season.
- Says that the Cowboys are planning on letting Garrett go down with the ship/it won't end well and that he (Bryan) can finally say this because he no longer works for the Organization.

Sounds like Jerry plans on just throwing in the towel on the season. Perhaps Jerry has just been conning everyone with his talk about what a great roster we have, but I think it's pretty good, and whether you agree with that or not, you should agree that it's at a high water mark.

We hit big on Bennett and Quinn. Next year it's Quinn, Bennett, Collins all gone. We've got *no* pass rush on the books for next year. Our 100 Million Dollar Man has 5 sacks after 12 games.

We got very lucky on the dline. This is not the year for Jerry to give up in a fit of pique because he finally realizes that his dreams of Garrett being Landry 2 were never anything more than delusion.

This is in the realm of possibility

If KRichards name is mentioned as a possible interim HC, then why is KR NOT the DC?

now we know why the defense is jacked.

Dabo isn’t leaving Clemson.

He is treated like royalty there. He loves it and isn’t going anywhere.

“Swinney made $9.3 million in total pay, surpassing Alabama's Nick Saban at $8.85 million. Swinney agreed to a 10-year, $93 million contract extension in April, after winning his second national title in three years.”
