The Bills are even bigger frauds than the Cowboys

I don't dislike you as a poster. I dislike posters that are negative just to be negative. Its almost as if they hedge their bets so that if we lose they can at least feel vindicated.

There was however more than enough evidence to suggest we'd lose to Buffalo. I foolishly looked at the Viking game and felt bad decisions were a huge contributing factor in the loss. I felt the Pats game was a lot about the weather and a handful of impactful calls by the officials. I also thought I saw our capabilities vs Philly. Consequently I thought we were due and I believed in our offense. We came out like I expected until petering out on what looked to be a nice drive our second possession.

I have no rationalization for the comedy of errors that followed. All I can really say is you were right and I was wrong. This team simply isn't that good. While I have to agree some of the talent is clearly being over rated, I also believe our talent is being marginalized by a bad coaching staff.

That said I won't bother to put my fan googles on unless we win the next four (highly unlikely.) Even if that happens I cant bring myself to have higher expectations than the wildcard, possibly divisional round(also highly unlikely.) This is at least, the end of a gut wrenching "almost era" for the Dallas Cowboys.

You totally rock for this dude. Temporarily restores my faith in humanity when one man can disagree with another, explain his position in a respectful manner and be civil about it. My hat’s off to ya sir. Nice post bro.

He has 14 touchdowns and only 1 pick in his last 6 games (confidence is high). He has singletary back whose a good pass blocker and is averaging over 5 yards per carry (once again huge confidence booster). Defense is solid.

LOL at anyone sleeping on the Bills.
Shocker what I stated actually happened (well rounded team whose playing hot)

Okay ... as the OP, I'm going to come in here and chow down on my crow. I was WAY off on my take. Sadly, it happens more often than I'd like.

Honestly bro, I didn't even bother clicking on your thread until now because of how disillusioned you were by posting in in the first place. I'm not trying to be crass here, but what honestly gave you the idea that this team would come to play and do well against a team that has shown to be better than us this year? Haven't you learned anything about this team and our production with Garrett at the helm? I totally get being a fan and having hope, but I think there is more than enough evidence at this point to know better than to take the cheese.

Look, I'm a huge fan of our Cowboys, but Jerry hiring and sticking with Garrett is one of the biggest blunders I've ever seen in sports. It defies logic and good sense! We have lied to ourselves as a fan base for far too long it's time to admit the truth about our team and accept it.

Accountability, a very admirable trait brother. Sure wish some of yours could rub off on this team. Nice post.

Totally agree but then the same guy hiring and firing ALL Cowboys coaches is still in charge.

Sooooooo...?

Since Sean McDermitt became the Bills HC, they've given up 43 passing TDs in 43 games. That's 1 passing TD per game. He's a Jim Johnson(ex-Eagles DC) disciple.
The Jim Johnson who used to kick JG's butt and kill Romo with his exotic blitzes. It's not going to be easy game for our pass offense.

Bills have now only given up 44 passing TD in 44 games. Still only 1 TD pass per game in that span. That is amazing. I wish our pass defense was half as good.

Let me tell you where I think hope may be. Jerry is very old and no matter how many yes man he surrounds himself with, there is a chance that there is enough brain cells left to realize his past failures. I know in my life I've made mistake after mistake until finally getting to a point where I was completely and utterly fed up with my bad decisions. This changed me, made me better, and I'm not about to give completely up on Jerry seeing the light because if I do I have nothing to look forward to.

There is a chance that Jerry changes the landscape, but I do admit it's highly unlikely. The problem that Jerry has, and we all know it, is that he is very prideful and believes in his guys to a fault. If he looks himself in the mirror and dissects what is truly wrong, he will have to take 100% responsibility for failure and that is very hard to do, especially for someone as powerful as him. All we can do at this point is hope he get it finally, but I know most of us aren't holding out hope.

Nice post. I hear ya man. I share the same type personal life comparisons as you mentioned here as well. Truer words never spoken with regards to the state of this team and Jerry’s most likely potential reactions based on his history. A sad but true reality.

I don't see Jerry as a guy that refuses to acknowledge his mistakes - or take full responsibility for them.

I look at him as a gambler that loves gambling. Making a bad bet and losing doesn't make the next bet any less fun to make. You win nothing if you let someone else make the next bet.

Likewise, just because he makes a bad decision, he's not going to let someone else make the next one.

You also have to wonder the outcome of some of these games had we and decent field goal kicker.

Its the perfect storm of an offense that can throw it all over the field but then stalls in the redzone and a kicker who is maddeningly inaccurate.

Yeah, last year we weren’t as dynamic a passing offense but still managed to move it enough between the 20s. The real struggle last year was scoring tds once reaching the red zone.

Last year Maher seemed inconsistent as well.

Now recently it seems this same pattern of no tds in the red zone and inaccurate field goal kicking is coming back as it was last year.

Probably the caliber of opponent has a lot to do with it but a lot of it is also self inflicted(ie turnovers and penalties) and poor kicking.

Again. Just like last year.

Had we made relatively easy field goals the course of these games could be drastically different.

Have you seen how the Bills have gotten to their 8-3 record?

Here's who they've beaten:
  • Jets (by 1)
  • Giants (by 14)
  • Bengals (by 4)
  • Titans (by 7)
  • Dolphins (by 10)
  • Commanders (by 15)
  • Dolphins (by 17 this time)
  • Broncos (by 17)
Meanwhile, they've lost to the Eagles, Patriots, and Browns. It's basically like you kept our schedule from weeks one through three, and put it on repeat. If we can't beat the Bills at home on Thanksgiving, it's time to just give up.

(cue the "Garrett sucks and will find a way to lose" comments)
You forgot to mention that they lost to the Browns by 3 and the Pats by 6. They've got only one blowout loss against the Eagles. Have no idea why you'd consider them a fraud.
